  1. UNT survives first quarter "we're pissed about CS and going to take it out on you" mentality from UA. The Hogs look at the scoreboard at the start of Q2 and it's even at 10. Crowd begins to get frustrated as yet another UA drive stalls, team starts to visibly show the signs as well - slumped shoulders, after play pushing... UNT, sensing blood in the water, starts the drive at their 12 and marches down the field like a hot knife through butter. Takes the lead 17-10 and never looks back. Crowd retreats to tailgate positions at the Q3/4 break. UNT 48 UA 20
  2. If Penn State and Baylor survived, there will never be another death penalty.
  3. If Greenlaw plays it will really help us, but our coverage is, and has been for along time, crappy. I fear 3rd and 12 more than 3rd and 4.
  4. For us, as much as our fanbase can't see it, Petrino left Jeff Long no options. He lied to him. You can't lie to your boss, you leave him no option. If he'd of just told him the truth I think they could have worked around it, even came up with some bs about the girl being qualified for the job, blah blah blah. But he straight up lied to him and got caught.
  5. First time I've ever seen THAT said about one of our boards...
  6. I'd LOVE to see anyone other that Storey or Kelly. I'm ready to burn the season to get the 'future' some experience. Kelly is hesitant, Storey is inconsistent.
  7. Easy money.
  8. Great story. I know he'll soak it all up Saturday.
  9. Morris won't be fired this year. Our AD is new too, it'd be like admitting you hosed it. Plus, who would we get to sign on after giving a new scheme one season to work? This job is a tough enough sell to begin with being in the SEC West and terribly small recruiting base.
  10. Nice work 🙂
  11. A lot of what you're saying is true; however, our chances of making a bowl this year were only about 50/50 - and that was assuming we won all of our non-conferences games. Now already with one loss, this drops dramatically. I promise, we're concentrating 100% on North Texas this week, no doubt about it. But... in the end it won't matter. We lose. After you survive the first quarter of us giving all we have, frustration will start creeping in about midway through the 2nd. By the 4th, ya'll will be living large. Go back an look at our recent Q4 collapses... they've been epic. Update: Over the last 2 seasons, plus 2 games we've been outscored 270 to 148 in Q4. We've only outscored our opponent five times in 24 games in Q4, and those five include Alcorn St, Florida A&M, and Coastal Carolina.
  12. I’m like Fox News, completely unbiased. We’re turrable.
  13. Well, caution is always good. If Geenlaw plays for us it will definitely help, but we’re just awful on defense and CS has a horrendous run defense which made our run attack look great. It didn’t look so hot against EIU.
  14. Won’t matter, y’all are a better team.
  15. You guys are just a better football team right now. If you guys don’t let the crowd etc get to you, y’all should win handily. We’re just not that good right now and y’all are pretty salty.
  16. Color me not surprised. What he said about A-State is crazy though.
  17. Such a beautiful lake.
  18. At this point in the game, it's going to be really what you can find. Should be a lot still available up around the Rogers area. That area is all relatively new and there will be plenty of places to eat, etc. However, that puts you further away from getting back home. You can stay in Van Buren, which would get you out of the mountains and closer to home, but those hotels are older and a little more sketchy. If you're wanting to stay around after the game and do some drinking/eating, if there's anything left in the Fayetteville area I'd grab it. I can't think of any offhand I'd say to expressly avoid. Next time if you, or any one else reading this, have time to plan ahead I'd try either The Dickson Street Inn or the Inn at Carnal Hall. I've never stayed in either, but have alway wanted to. The Dickson Street Inn looks really quaint with the patio over looking Dickson Street and all - plus being right on Dickson has it's own advantages. Carnal Hall is at the very corner of the campus right near Old Main. I had a few classes in the building when i was a student, then they converted it into a hotel. Looks like they did a great job. Again, all the perks of walking distance to game/Dickson St etc.
  19. I can't help you with that, maybe you can find the answers here: https://pubs.usgs.gov/pp/1044c/report.pdf
  20. I think you're talking about The Dickson Street Pub under The Dickson Street Inn. http://www.dicksonstreetpub.com
  21. I'm jealous, wish I was going! I may try and go last minute if I can work it out. Wife and I started a business that makes it difficult to get away for the weekend, but I may see what I can do and still be welcomed back home afterwards. 🙂
