I will be there next year a Proud season ticket holder. I am not happy but I love our University and I support our players and they deserve it. I graduated in 1980, Hayden Fry and Bill Blakely, what a time, it was fun, I want our current students to feel pride in their University, including it's athletics. Football is the king and frankly the only sport that is lacking, we are doing well pretty much across the board. If you do not buy season tickets for football next year then give that money to the MGSF, they can use it. GO MEAN GREEN!!! WIN GAMES!!!

This all makes sense, we are going to run the ball and the quarterbacks coach is now going to emphasize handing the ball off. See, teaching the quarterbacks the best way to HAND off the ball, no throwing required, just use your hands........ GO MEAN GREEN!!! WIN GAMES!!!

I believe we are competitive in most if not all sports, including football ie this year’s UTSA game. We need to go from competitive to winning and winning consistently. We don’t have to win the conference every year but we need to be in the hunt. We are about to be in a really good conference and we have to step up our game. Just being in the AAC will help, more exposure, regional teams people know about, better competition and better athletes. I give what I can and regularly but unfortunately we need a lot more money than I can ever give. In time with all of the above happening our fundraising efforts will increase but in the meantime if you know anyone with deep pockets send them Wren’s way. A day of reckoning in major college football is coming and we have successfully worked our way up the ladder. I now like the AAC’s Power 6 slogan. It is a numbers game and we have to produce. It is going to come down to either the top 80-96 programs and we need to be one of them. GO MEAN GREEN!!! WIN GAMES!!!

La Tech needs to beat UAB at least once. We have to sweep La Tech and beat UAB away. We then go on and win the tournament championship and go to the NCAA’s. UAB would then have a high enough NET rating to make it in as an at large and La Tech goes to the NIT’s. We can always dream! GO MEAN GREEN!!! WIN GAMES!!!

I love it, like it or not UNT and SMU are rivals. Conference mates for the first, this is only going to stoke that rivalry, I love it. The AAC Power Six Conference affiliation will raise the level of our athletic programs, fund raising and our academics. (If it does not we are in trouble) From 2023 on the football games will count toward conference championships, the basketball games just the same and we both play good Basketball. I hate to repeat myself, I love it! Apogee is a Great stadium and I believe it will only get better, especially after the victories start becoming more prevalent. SMU can dream about the Big 12, when we start kicking their a**es, they can come back to Earth. Let me tell you that Mean Green kool-aide is good, I think I’ll have another pitcher!!! That was my period at NTSU, it was a great time, we won a lot of high scoring exciting games. I was at the aforementioned SMU non conference game, we were independent. Guess what our old MVC foes Memphis, Tulsa and Wichita State are conference mates soon again. Add to that SMU and Tulane I see some great games coming to the Super Pit might get a few more sellouts. January of 1977 versus SMU. We won 102 or so to 99. I think it was triple overtime. It was an SRO crowd maybe the biggest ever. The place was rocking. I was sitting in the aisle at the top of the super pit. GO MEAN GREEN!!! WIN GAMES!!!

I can't read the article........ I will still wait until the results of the bowl game before I make up my mind. These extra weeks a practice will also show up next spring and hopefully carry over for the fall. GO WIN MEAN GREEN!!! WIN GAMES!!!!!!! (at least one more)

In my opinion, as if it matters, Seth still needs to win one more game this year and that is the one next week. When we crush the Red Hawks then SL is welcomed back. Just my opinion......... GO MEAN GREEN!!! WIN GAMES!!!!!!!

I’ll say this, our passing attack is not really that bad. I think early on that they kept missing on those timing routes and switched to run first. I believe that we have excellent receivers (we seem to always have great running backs) and with run first there can be some big passing play opportunities. Could you imagine a balanced attack, with big strike potential 😉. GO MEAN GREEN!!! WIN GAMES!!!!!!!

They lost 5 games by a total of 22 points, that averages to 4.4 points a game. Other than a beat down by Cincinnati in their first game of the year they lost some close games. BUT I BELIEVE IN THE MEAN GREEN!! GO MEAN GREEN!!! WIN GAMES!!!!!!!

We get over two weeks more of practice and that can actually go a long way for next season. Once we start getting in these later bowl games from winning in a new conference it is even more beneficial. GO MEAN GREEN!!! WIN GAMES!!!!!!!

Last year we played in the inaugural Myrtle Beach Bowl and it looks like we will be playing in another inaugural Bowl Game. What are the odds of that, has it ever happening before? I just hope we don’t lay an egg this time. GO MEAN GREEN!!! WIN GAMES!!!!!!!
