Thank you Wren Baker, you did a Great job and you will be missed. UNT is in much better shape than when Wren arrived. I started UNT in 1976, things are light years away in so many ways and they are better and will continue to get better. Anyone for the Big West or Southland conferences? We are going to a much better conference than we have ever been in and we need to step up our game and Wren laid the foundation. Remember the phrase “trust in Wren”, it was accurate. We need to get the best AD out there and pay him. BEAT THE roadkill

I had a really good time the last time we played at the NM Bowl and Utah State, until kickoff and it went to sh*t.

When we win next week, we then get to go back to San Antonio. If we lay an egg in San Antonio, he needs to be fired. If it is close or we win then look at the results of a bowl game. If the Mean Green Eagles, win out then SL gets a two year extension, if not he gets our thanks and a new pot to grow in.

The sky is not falling. We went from piss poor to mediocre, to consistently mediocre. To get to mediocrity it has cost us $2 million a year for a mediocre head coach. It will probably cost us $3 million a year for a pretty good coach. We are getting more money from the AAC for media rights although not a full share yet but more than we get now. We just need to hire the right coach, a WINNER would be good!

I agree that SL has done a lot of good things in his tenure at UNT. It is now time to let us say thank you SL, take another step up and go hire a WINNER and pay him what it might cost. We “Found” the money for SL and we can find it for his replacement!

Head Coach Expectations; competitive and prepared in every game a winning record every year actually compete every year for conference championships and win one or two win bowl games an overall winning record, see above no controversies and continue our high graduation rate 3 year contract and predetermined 2 year extension if above criteria met pay him what it takes to get a WINNER, ie Mack

We need a WINNER as a head coach. Seems like we have done pretty well at the FCS level in transfers. How about a winning coach at that level? Seems reasonable.

I’ll tell you what needs to happen, a change. To even be discussing a four way tie is sad. We need a change in coaching and a change in attitude. A WINNING attitude would be nice but we cannot win an important game against a decent opponent. I do not know how for sure but it has to change and soon. Rant over, I’m tired.

We have no offense, defense does win games but you have to score! It was an issue last year in the conference tournament and has reared its ugly head again. At least now it is the beginning of the season……

I attended NTSU from 1976-80. Hayden Fry and Bill Blakely were the real deal. Fouts Field/Texas Stadium was a fun time and the Super Pit was rocking! After those two coaches left so did our commitment to sports. That was the time to capitalize and we didn’t. I believe we hopefully may be beginning a similar period, let’s just hope we do not muck it up again

I am conflicted. This team runs in streaks, just like last year. The reason we end the seasons well is because of the weak conference opponents. We very well could win out and end the season at 8-4 (7-1). The last two games of the season will tell if SL has truly turned a corner and I would be remiss if I did not say, I believe he has. We shall see.

I agree, I am for hit Nine and we can do it! If we just hit six it will be a disappointment.

I hope that we are playing in San Antonio again this season, but isn’t it relief that we don’t have to wait until the end of the season to see if we go Bowling. The more wins the better the destination. I think we have turned a corner this season and I believe we win out. Win next week and we go bowling and I like our chances.

Once we actually become a member of the AAC, surely our recruiting will get better, I hope….
