You keep deflecting and defending. So, please, map out your level of confidence in SL as well as your full expectations for UNT of old (CUSA) and new (AAC).

Decisions are made by external pressures. Otherwise, AD's would sit on their hands and cash checks, like many already unfortunately do. We are, as this tenure suggests, are in an "up" year. By that standard, our up seasons will be 7-5ish. As the seasons go by, 17 and 18 are looking and feeling more and more flukey. By that, it's difficult to just sit back and openly accept what's going on. It becomes that much more difficult to accept as moving into a more competitive conference looms. But, I guess, this all goes away if UNT wins 3 in a row to end the season. But I think our problems will still exist as SL has proven he's not really a recruiter. And if you can't recruit, you can have success with consistency. -
Bowls, regardless of conference, you damn right. Conference championships, given the new conference, better be a serious freakin contender by year 4.
-
I don't think you still understand the premise of the debate here. This is not about a NEW coach coming in and people demanding a conference championship in a NEW conference. This is completely about Seth Littrell not being able to deliver anything in our current weak conference in 7 years and that is grounds for firing.
-
No doubt. And I'm still scratching my head in what he perceives as crazy and insane. I seldom read insane expectations on this board. In fact, far from it.
-
You quoted something I posted like 30 hours ago that pertained to Littrell. That's where the conversation started. You have no idea what you are talking about. In this dialouge (which started like a week ago have you), you've gone from just maybe being an ingnorant and apathetic fan that is just happy to be here to a complete Seth Littrell simp. I am obsessed with one thing pertaining to Seth Littrell, him being fired. After that, it's onto the next and I hope he can recruit his tail off and be an energized ambassador of UNT. If not, insert name of more of the same by late '25.

Outside of constantly defending SL, no idea. I am referring to the expectations that should have been set forth for SL starting his 7-year UNT tenure. He should've already won the conference (that's not being bama). He shouldn't have lost every bowl (that's not being bama). He is batting .500 vs a largely weak career schedule at UNT (that's not being bama). You think he has earned a right to stay. There is nothing of substance to suggest he has or should. His time has come to pass. There is nothing left to say.

So saying a conference champ trophy in 4 years with relative top of the line facilities and pay is clown talk? But clown talk is NOT giving a coach 8 years. E. I. G. H. T. And I'm the clown. Up your shit talking if you're going to talk shit. Bc you have no substance or platform. Seth Littrell is a dud. Deal with it.

Sure. In that run what does utsa and fau have that we don't? A. Bowl trophy B. Conference championship C. All of the above -

Seth has lost to Charlotte and ODU. Both were embarassing losses that he should've won. We know he's lost to utsa multiple times. And he was annihilated, woodshed style, by Lane Kiffins FAU x2.. He hasn't lost to the others simply because he hasn't played them. But make no mistake, CC, Ga State, USF, and USA have all fielded multiple teams during SL tenure at UNT that would come in and dog doodoo on our heads. Yes, UNT has a better program than FIU. Thanks, Seth. We aren't FiU. -
I'm just pointing it out, Jimmy.

Actually coaches can control it. They have say. Case in point, Seth Littrell mixed our Army series.

So are we not talking about JM's job because it's a woman's sport or because she's alum? Or both? Seems to be reeling since the beginning.

Good bounce back. GMG

He's not recruiting particularly well. So, there's that. If we lose like that to Fresno at home, it's eyebrow raising. If our guys come back and we continue losing them I guess WB will have to hang his hat on... softball? Yay, us.

I think somebody forgot who the OC was in 2019.

Of course you would choose that magic number. I wonder why. Are you related to Seth? What's in this for you? And 8 years? Sheeeeesh. That is crazy. Just minimal to zero expectations. Absurd, that's what that is.
-
Ok, then 7? Or 8? Shit, 10? If you're here to simp for Littrell, people are fed up and it's not going to work. But, enjoy.
-
Those 10 wins were with a donkey offense and an old man calling the shots. We were playing checkers, everybody else playing chess. Any coach coming in and getting us into the 21st century schematically was going to see improvement.

Recruiting always matters.
-
Your scenario is 30-18 over 4 years with 4 bowl appearances. You clearly like splitting hairs, so I'll play. If he goes 30-18 over 4 and misses CCG and, pending bowl opponents, splits with an average composite recruiting ranking over those years of #4 or better in recruiting then I'm in for an ext.
-
Did he win a bowl or multiple bowls and how has his recruiting been?
-
By year 4 you better have won a conference championship/And Bowl and be bowling during your contract season while having an overall record comfortably over .500 and at minimum 1 win over SMU. Otherwise, see ya.
