Yes, your point is clear. It's just not a.good one. He can hyperextend his knee playing pickup basketball and shred his ACL. Blow out his achilles doing agility drills. Get ________ injury at any point in time doing ________ activity. The list is infinite. It wouldn't have hurt him had he went out there and carried the ball a little. He took the trip, at the minimum he could've had a candid conversation with the staff. Such as, "I don't want anyone to know about this conversation, my teammates included, but I would like to be on a pitch count (10-12 carries)." End of conversation. He still gets to go on the trip, not disappoint his alum, be there for his teammates that he claims to "love" and go out a winner. The only part of this I dislike is his last minute withdraw. There were better ways to go about it.

One and done makes sense if you bring in a HS kid that you have a lot of faith in and get him groomed while the 1 and done player starts.

That's great. And he can keep maintaining all of those relationships without shitting on the football program and athletics. Seth Littrell wasn't good enough. He's not here any longer because of it. That's the headline.

I really don't get the lockeroom talk...Not considering an expansion in this talk, juicing that place up can be done extremely quick and at a relatively low cost... Turn every wall (maybe a green accent wall here or there). Install black ceiling tiles. Order a 3D 15x10 green and white highlighted SOW, mount on ceiling right in the center of the lockerroom. Get rid of the brown lockers and professionally paint the lockers green with white trim. Get wall accent green lights that shine from ceiling to floor and vice versa. Get green trim lights around the floor of the entire place. A weeks work and maybe around 100k. You got a modernized lockerroom.

The fact that we're having to grasp at straws on Day 0 of our new hire should tell everyone what kind of hire this was: excessively underwhelming. No one can really dispute that. Only Morris can prove otherwise.

I hope it works out. I do have 2 worries... Not sure it checks the box in recruiting and that's concerning. Another air raid guy means we will continue to be incompetent on defense. Like others have said, I don't love it and I don't hate it. But it appears to be, from a far, a status quo hire. As in I'm not sure what is going to be the wholesale difference between Littrell and Morris.
