This has nothing really to do with that player. I mean, he can still piss off. This has to do with the systems in place. No logical person sees this as sustainable. None.

Sonny Dykes should give a Masters Class

As far as smu's "portal" "recruiting" goes, they're slightly up. Lost 10, gained 11 with slightly better players. And with alllll that money and alllll of those players, they went 7-6. As I might say when many of this board were salivating in how good they were when they bashed our brains in this season. A few of us got on here and reminded everyone that their 6-6 teams just like their one 10 win team bashed our brains in. What's that old Bill Parcells quote? -
Why does this have 3 pages of content? Bottom line, he doesn't want to be a part of the Mean Green Family at UNT any longer and for that he can piss off. Quit letting teenage kids and 20 year olds normalize all of this. There is nothing normal about any of this. This shit doesn't even happen in the NFL or any professional sport for that matter. I mean, listen to that again, the NFL has more integrity driven policies than collegiate athletics.

I think if we get more than 20 in my section we may quit attending. That LaTech game in 2018 really cramped my style. Good thing we lost, got my section back. Been nice ever since.

That entire website makes me want to puke. The "Adjusted NIL Value" is such a joke. It's a joke of jokes. Unless you're a difference maker (a real one), it's a joke. Like, my dude, you're replaceable. I can go get 10 of you's tomorrow.

I think it's probably still that one urban planner nerd kid on another made username. Not sure of his name.

1. BS. 2. Sounds great. 3. Also, BS. Thanks for posting.

He was out for basically the last 9 minutes of the game while they decided to 1-3-1 then eventually go man press. He can't do that kinda stuff. 0 reason not to be driving. It was there on multiple press break downs, but they dribble it out and reset. Like I am sure they are coached to do. Nevertheless, a good team (FAU) will beat that. The Western Kentucky Fighting McKinights almost did, by himself. We let him weak side ISO us over and over without getting rotation there. Eventually Mac tried to face guard to not let him get the ball (ended up with it anyway) to at least slow his rhythm down. A road win is a road win and they're a decent opponent. Offensively, this isn't going to cut it. Had we not gotten out to a 21-1 start, we lose that game by 10. Maybe more.

Sure, you can. Just reply to my post and let you fingers find the keys. Then, hit submit reply. Easy.

Sharp can be up and undered, easily. He's thirsty for blocks and chases spin outs and hooks.
-
Absolutely. I had to mute the TV. They are 100% homers. 0 points the final 6 minutes of the first half. Very reminiscent of the FAU game. It was the same way too, got a lead and tried to milk clock before a terrible offensive possession ensues with a dribble, pass and heave. To start the game they were diving into the paint and kicking it. We started nailing 3s and they started closing out and the paint became exposed. Let's get back to that. Play to win the game, not to preserve a lead.

Damn. We needed some of this sweet magic from Martinez vs FAU. But hey, I like it either way. GMG

I hope this ages like a fine wine.

I think TCU winning last night is good for us
NorthTexasWeLove replied to meangreenfaninno's topic in Mean Green Football
It can't. It can will you to victory in outlying situations. Talent wins most often. I guess we'll see Culture (TCU) vs Talent (UGA) next Monday. I think though Silver was referring to the city support and alum dedication side of culture. Not internal culture. -

They show up in big games. But when they're, I don't know 7-5/6-6ish, Amon Carter is pretty underwhelming. They have city support and that fills seats in those big games, because their tiny alum base isn't going to get it done. Their ratings will be good in the likes of playoff games (as anyones would), but a run of the mill Iowa State vs TCU regular season game isn't going to pull ratings. They are what they are and they do what they do very well. Great city support, OK regional following and basically nil outside of the eastern half of Texas and beyond. -

Any way you slice this, it's not good for UNT. Uga gonna roll them though. Great year for them though. -
Morris has clearly sided with the philosophy of Jimmy's and Joe's over X's and O's. If we could recruit Denton county and the counties that border Denton county at a very high level, we will be a top 25 team in the very near future. Morris has hedged his bet that he and his staff will land this talent.

And as they should. They have trustworthy football programs with staffs they trust. They also have students and alum that care about football. They also haven't been blown out 4 times just this season. And they're playing for a natty. I hope those fans enjoy their time. Just win. Win some more. Keep winning. That's the answer for support. Compete with everyone on the schedule. Show a program that is incapable of being blown out with any kind consistency. Sometimes win when you're not supposed to. Mostly win the games you're supposed to. Go to Highland Park and win. Win a bowl game. Beat Cal. Do things that are against our norm. Then start doing it consistently. All the while keep making UNT a business and engineering destination university. Then keep doing all the aforementioned things. Then recruit. Recruit. Recruit. Recruit. Recruit. Recruit.
-
Well, what is UNT known for culturally and academically? There's your answer. Also, 7-6 with several blowouts eentering a bowl game isn't going to inspire a lot of the fence sitters. Prez has done a good job of trying to swing that pendulum. But it's a heavy one.

Haha, probably true. But let's not body shame. That's uncomfortable.

FIFY Now, I agree. And it seems that the diving eagle has stuck and I'm good with that.
