Probably not. Our basketball budget is 157th in the country. If we up the budget the UNT way, what will we be? 140th? That's still a shoestring budget and we'll continue to fall in and out of success. We don't have the athletic budget to be great at everything.

What a game. I loved, loved, loved watching Wisconsin fans buttholes cinch up reeeeaaaaallllll tight in the final 4. It was polarizing. TCU is pulling strings to prevent SMU from getting an invite for the sake of recruiting and market saturation. SDSU is reportedly going to the PAC. The Big12 has made it clear they want to expand westward. So, Fresno State. I guess that's the why.

And this run has not been some kind of flukey filled 20+ three pointers made each game kind of run. It's been FAU's players finding a way, despite turning the ball over 21 times today. Save the argument. This is the highest level.

They need 20 more 3s to be National Champions. They are good enough everywhere else. 20 more 3s and the natty is theirs.

Naw. We are a liberal arts university. We have a lot of liberal art students and alum. Add that with basically no legitimate marketing presence, this is the result. I'll even add, do you think our metroplex alum are aware that we're on the doorstep of 30 wins? Do you think they know we're in the NIT final 4? Do you think they know our HC is averaging over 20 wins a season? We can't assume everyone is on social media and then we can't assume the ones that are follow UNT athletics we also can't assume alumni are signed up for mass emails. Our athletics department has been marketing to basically the die-hard fan for the better part of 18 months. It's a huge problem and not to come off sounding bitter, but I blame Wren Baker.

By no means a great year, but they've had many a seasons with sub-20 wins. They aren't a powerhouse winning 25+ a year by any stretch.

I don't know I would call 20 wins a down year at Oklahoma State. I would call that an average year for them while still having a big12 schedule that still includes UT and OU.

Programs that take themselves seriously get their students to show in droves. Figure it out.
