  1. Bring it back. Baseball is highly popular in the state. There is 3-5a talent in droves* just an hour away from Denton in every direction. *Yes, in football too, I understand. But most baseball players are partly schollied and stay close to home far more than football players due to this. We can truly rake in the baseball talent and be uberly competitive very quickly.
  2. Wanting to invest top dollar looks and sounds like recency bias. That's easy to think and say. I agree. But it makes more analytical and financial sense to invest in basketball. Simply put, it's more affordable. I would argue making deep post season basketball run gets more eyeballs and positive attention on the school than playing in the potato hot dog eating contest bowl on December 23rd in St Petersburg, Russia.
  3. I don't understand the earning the right bit. There is not right to be earned. We could've went .500 and he's still entitled to transfer. There is no "earning".
  4. Noooooo, can't be money. It's his desire to play in front of bigger crowds for LESS money.
  5. No more than 2000 seats and I'm in.
  6. I'm sorry, but I'm looking back in my notes to find where I said it was the only reason. No luck.
  7. That sounds cute and all, but money is always a motivator.
  8. Sure. Not any longer. Your point is moot.
  9. My reference is based on the On3 NIL database. 400k for 1 year would put him in elite financial status in the country. As far as our NIL goes, I was told we had 1.6M in it as of 2 or 3 months ago.
  10. 400k for a 1-year stint? Highly unlikely. That would put him at the pace of being a top 15 paid ("nil'ed") college basketball player. No shot. Zero. He'll be lucky to snag 100k.
  11. If he goes to Tech I'm going to blow up. At that point, you can't tell me that it hasn't been in the works for at least a couple weeks. It'd be, no other way to put it, McCasland dogging UNT like a back alley whore for his own personal gain/success.
  12. I miss those days. As for TP, and this isn't a knock on him but just reality, he will be facing more athletic, taller and more lengthier guards on a night to night basis. He can't slash and I would imagine people know that about his game. Not only will he mass shooting production going to diminish elsewhere, these guards are just bigger and more athletic. I think his ceiling has been reached, and dont get me wrong, it's a good ceiling to be able to reach.
  13. Bad take. That is all.
  14. Well said. Thank you for pit stopping along the way and bye. I will not follow any player or coach that leaves. They are not us, they were simply masquerading as one of us.
  15. I believe Drez tweeted after their early sec tourney exit that the grass isn't always greener. Something along those lines.
  16. On the contrary, we don't owe him anything. Like he clearly doesn't owe us anything. I support the green and white. No player or coach. GMG
  17. Play any and all good basketball schools willing to play us. If we lose them all we can do what the rest of the P5 does come selection time, 'don't mind our record, look at who we played'
  18. McCasland 1.0 didn't hang a Sweet 16 banner. If we stay on our trajectory, Hodge will be Hodge 1.0 as we raise that future banner.
