  1. They very well could. The stack is notoriously not good vs the run. When you don't have the players to execute it, it can become historically bad. I tried to voice this back in the summer. I was told by several posters here that it would be fine. Well, I guess fine is a relative word...
  2. D. His lack of talent evaluation had us starting an FCS quarterback in meaningful games in relation to bowl eligibility. His lack of evaluation had him and us thinking we were better than what we were. Pair that complete and utter failure, his DC hire has been a trainwreck. The basis of his decision to go with that philosophy, not just individual DC, is another trainwreck. That is not a validated reason to choose that defensive philosophy. Nevertheless, the path to bowl eligubility was clear from the jump. Now you have to go win 4 games in conference. In my opinion, there is no path to be 4-4 in conference play. Maybe they prove me wrong, and hopefully they do. I'm just afraid this defense will not allow. And though the offense flashes good stuff, it's not potent enough to make up for the worst defense in FBS.
  3. In football, this holds weight. In basketball, you would think coaches would want to play some OOC Q1/Q2 games if they don't have many/enough.
  4. This is 100% started to happen. And will become widespread for the well to do. It will start to look like the 70s and 80s before the scholarship limit. The haves will basically start stacking talent for the sake of having it.
  5. Ohhhhhh..... Alabama = UTSA = Notre Dame Got it. We are one ostrich in the sand fanbase. It's miraculous how neverending this place is. The more things change, the more identical it looks.
  6. UNT by 20ish. 40 something to 20 something or 50 something to 30 something.
  7. Sure, no doubt. Very well can learn from the upperclassmen and very well could develop into a nice player. Could. He's our 16th commit of this class and our 1st linemen in the entire class, OL/DL. If we were shored up well with rostered and committed players then he would be a nice addition as a developmental player. We aren't. In the 2 classes that this staff has worked on we have 3 OL committed/signed. 2 FBS offers. Our direct competitor, UTSA, has 8 OL signed from last class and/or committed to this class. 36 FBS offers not including the UTSA offers. Looks like 6 of them are the real deal with lots of offers and 2 with 0 FBS offers much like Mr. Lewis here. And I don't even want to think about doing a side-by-side comparison of the DL. It would probably be ridiculously ugly.
  8. Very, very good stuff. #GMG
  9. Still a lot of slots to be filled. But we have certainly entered into the show me what you can do stage becuase telling me is getting old.
  10. Knowing this type of stuff makes it difficult to give to the university in any capacity. And, youre right, it is dead.
  11. I'm not buying. Not really concerned about what other staffs brought in. THIS staff was supposed to be a recruiting staff. THIS staff was supposed to elevate the brand, not do business as usual.
  12. All good. The ungood... it appears we are his only FBS offer.
  13. Did you watch the game? Clearly not. Oh, and it was 45-12 at the break. This has to be a bit. It was 52-12 when washington called off the dogs and started playing everybody. They have like 30 players with a recorded defensive stat. This agenda you're pushing is worthless. Cal is not good. We are worse than not good. I don't care if Cal fixes their not good, we must fix our worse than not good.
  14. Tough and tenacious FIU getting pounded into submission by Liberty. Washington will hang a 50 mcnugget on Cal. La Tech played Nebraska respectable.
  15. I was rockin with him until he showed extreme stubborness with his stack comment. A RB averaged 9 ypc. Most of that damage was done vs a 3 man front. Don't piss on my head and tell me it's raining.
  16. I don't tweet or talk to UNT athletic department people or coaches. So, no.
  17. If he was locked in for 3 or 4 years, I'd root for the guy. His own actions and his calloused demeanor towards UNT people suggest that this is nothing more than a gap stop for him. Don't you understand?
  18. I view those positions as I view politicians. Self serving bureaucrats that are more concerned about protecting their job than performing their job at a high level. Take that salary. Split it 3 ways as base pay. Let 3 newly hired people come in and hustle and grind into commission dollars.
  19. If he is applying to places then, then he'll be applying to places now.
