  1. Frankly, It's time for conservatives to stop sitting at the table. For the better part of 5 decades Republicans play the role of defender while in power and liberals play the part of progressive steamroller while in power. It's beyond time for Republicans to get on the offensive. Can't play offense and patty cake at the same time And I don't want unity in the sense of the way it has always been. The way it always was is not a democracy. High rollers putting basically unknowns and/or generational familiy politicians on a pedestal is not good for anyone except the high rollers, lobbyists, and executives of special interest groups/corps. That's not democracy, that's a patriarchal monarch masquerading as democracy.
  2. I don't hate anyone. Keep your beliefs. They're yours to have. But just because the msm propaganda machine fills the void of informer, doesn't make them factual. They are not. I just find it difficult to see the hate, vitriol, etc that Trump allegedly spews. I know I hear it from the media. They dance daily on him with those words. But where are those actions? As for me, I will be my own judge. I do not need anyone to tell me what to think or how to feel. As for the criminal mischief... find me a company CEO that oversees books, let alone a president
  3. Yeah.... a threat to our democracy. Lol... while they are currently trying to sway delegates away from Biden at the DNC convention... but Trump is the threat to democracy. It writes itself.
  4. Rumor mill is pushing FSU, Clemson, ND and Miami to the big12 due to indifference from the big10/sec. If so, there are still big brands remaining and they will want to backfill.
  5. That's only a matter of time. Pro sports have it, pro college sports will have it, too. The courts want their cake and they want to eat it. And if you think common sense and logic is going to undermine our narcissistic judiciary system, they'll go further. It's who they are. People who have gotten what they have wanted their entire lives and will now use our system to plug and play.
  6. Speaking of billboards... I was driving through downtown LA last week and UH basketball has a large mural painted on a big building there. Not sure how they pulled that off, but there it sat.
  7. They're all well beyond 12 right now. With other universities chomping at the bit to squeeze in. We need to be chomping at the bit. Even if the removal of the big brands from the ACC they will still carry some brand recognition and they're not going to just lay down. They'll be looking to backfill and move forward.
  8. If true, common logic suggests that the ACC must expand their reach into Texas. If Jared hasn't called the ACC office countless times then I'm not sure what he's doing.
  9. Fraternity and sorority menbers have responsibilities outside of partying. If you don't like these responsibilities, don't join.
  10. This is.... good work. And something that must be mandated.
  11. You're not wrong anywhere. But he bold should happen with split or no split. That doesn't really have anything to do with the split. The NCAA, moreso the TV executives, are trying to shake us and our peers once and for all. Completely cut off what they perceive as dead weight. Much like the FCS, we may veru rarely/never catch us on TV again. That's the risk here.
  12. Oh? Go see when these games were scheduled and then look at the state of both programs. Hint: no change. I do anticipate schedule formatting to change with the [transfer portal] times.
  13. Alright. We have differing opinions. And that's fine. Hopefully our defense has taken gigantic strides.
  14. Our football program has no business in scheduling difficult opponents in difficult locales. A program learning to win comes first and foremost. Then you schedule better. Getting your head bounced off the turf doesn't make you better. But hey, I've never always been right. Maybe we jump up on them early with our offense and that puts their offense in a difficult position. That's the only hope. Otherwise, whew.
  15. I can't just agree with this. Your points are easy to follow. They have logic and sense. I still can't just rollover to it. The cat is already out of the bag, but when tv contracts started to balloon in the 90s, what is now referenced as G5 programs should have done everything in their power to bow their backs and put their foot down. If individual players can bring the lack of payment to the courts during an obvious time of amateurism, how could 65 universities not collectively come together and push anti-trust suits into the courts and not dictate financial fairness? The answer: The beta males that were the AD/HCs didn't care. It wasn't of their interest because there is nothing to financially gain for them in doing that. If anything, only negative consequences would come their way in acting. They balked. Fast forward a generation and they continue to balk in the name of self interest. They put themselves over the university in which overpays them.
  16. Bold: I will never discredit tough teams. Especially tough teams that win. That will rock fight you. I have no inclination at all to believe that our defense will step up to this physical challenge. There's no evidence to suggest it. If anything, evidence suggests that Wyoming might push over 40 in TOP.
  17. Ooooook. It's as if every game on the schedule isn't going to be a challenge. But hey, let's send our boys a thousand miles away up in elevation to get rolled up. Genius idea.
  18. They won't push us around like OU, but they will push us around. Believe that. Why schedule a peer that has that ability? Wyoming pushed around Texas Tech last year. Wyoming surprises teams that aren't used to their style or prepared for it.
  19. I get the disdain in not wanting to play them. They're a peer program that will probably bruise us up and push us around. Knowing that, there isn't anything to gain in playing them. If bruises is what we want, go put OU on the schedule and get paid to do it.
  20. Schedule was indeed tougher and injuries were much deeper. I commended Ross for his first year as a high level HC. However, can't lose to Fordham types in non-league play. Can't lose bottom barrel leauge games like vs nutsack. Forgot opponent, but it was a non-league game and we were up 6 with 1:10 to go and proceeded to let THEM win at the free throw line. Pretty remarkable considering lead and time remaining. I want to say it was @ Boise. Gotta go +3 there in the win column.
