  1. I am very intrigued what we do with our backs. We have all read the whole Morris being a Leach disciple stuff. And I have read the running backs are getting move involved in the passing game, but with this many backs I am not sure how you don't simply feed them...especially considering our defense probably being horrid. It should be interesting.
  2. Yeah, 70-14 can feel real shitty right there on national television. Didn't we beat that same Army team?
  3. Liberty U is going to own this conference. They invest 30% more money in everything than the next highest programs, and they invest 5x the new joins. Their greatest foe will be the all familar problem we grew accustomed to, lack of exposure.
  4. Just win. I don't care if a leprechaun wearing a clown suit is QB1, just win.
  5. No, not at all. There's just more of them. Uncle Raymond is a 5th generation methhead. Uncle Raymond also roots for UT because he has been programmed to. Uncle Raymond has zero affiliation to UT. Not an alum. He doesn't have a niece or nephew that attend(ed). His parents didn't attend. Zilch, zero, nobody. This is a giant portion of their fanbase.
  6. Best home uni we have. Not even debatable.
  7. We shouldn't want Traylor to leave. We should want utsa to snuggle up even closer to him financially for several reasons. 1. High tide lifts all boats 2. UNT and its peers would have to elevate their games. 3. Iron sharpens iron. 4. They'll suck in everything else.
  8. That is our best uniform. Not even debatable.
  9. Rumor has it the money was there to keep him. However, the staff wanted to spread the love with said money. True or not, I have no idea.
  10. I like the green helmet with feathers only, flying worm (white on green), and interlocked NT, in that order. The SOW can be a staple of the on the fabric uniform, stitched on pants and jersey. On our helmets, it's ugly. It's ugly for 2 reasons: 1. It's too big for the helmet. 2. Because it's too big for the helmet the equipment managers can't seem to find the right location to place it for it to look even decent.
  11. Sounds that way... and sprinting away from pressure and heaving the ball into triple coverage 40 yards for a Christmas gift of a completion does not sale me. If Earle is doing that AND making the routine look routine then sign me up.
  12. Sure, they have to recruit better front 7 personnel. We knew that. After they became accustomed to our game film, they knew that. Things have changed. There is no more incremental improvements in weak areas. Incremental improvement is gone forever (hopefully not forever) with the rules in place. Our defensive staff knew our personnel and they knew it needed to be shored up. It's about going after high impact high school recruits that can and will help in the future AND productive transfers from the portal that will help NOW. Yeah, yeah they're going into their 1st season with one 1/2 of a recruiting season under their belt. Well, isn't UAB? FAU? CLT in the same scenario? I can live with holes in the roster. I can't live with it as being a season altering excuse when the rules let coaches hem up their roster YoY as they see fit. Oh? They couldn't get the transfers they needed/wanted? Again, not our problem as fans. That's their problem(s). I'm not tryin to doom and gloom, just pointing out the rules in place.
  13. Absolutely not. If they had a big10 invite sitting on a table, they gone. This is crying wolf, point blank.
  14. Going to a 3 man front with our personnel was ALWAYS going to be a horrid idea, as if a 3 man front is ever really a good idea.
  15. Been telling people for a couple years, the belt plays good football.
  16. That's just it. It would indeed help the recruiting of the east coast ACC powers. But it would definitely hamper the recruiting for Stanford and Cal. I see this as a lose-lose for them. Giving money up and recruiting will take a hit. Makes 0 sense.
  17. Psh. We're staring at a 3-1 OOC record. 5 wins implies we go 2-6 in conference play. That's unacceptable. 1 game differentiation means everything. It's buy in from current players. Buy in from hopeful future players. It's more practice and another nationally televised game. 6-6 is the floor, it must be.
  18. At this point conference alignment has fogged my glasses to the 2023 season. Alignment is far and away more important as to who will be our qb for one season.
  19. Not to sound smu douchey, but we're not in Louisiana (or east Texas) enough. Any high level talented player latech or monroe pulls is missed opportunity for us.
  20. Pretty surprised we're at this point with no QB1.
  21. At this point, they are doing EVERYTHING in their power not to be affiliated with us and other AAC institutions. So, when they exhaust all of their options and have nowhere to turn they are suspectedly are supposed to show up at our doorstep all the while trying dictate top shares. Then, they will create a fractured foundation as they will continue an attempt to leave. Why let them in? If the 14 AAC institutions band together and stay pat while not letting them in they will squirm. At this point, weeks into this thing, let them.
  22. Generally, no. We don't go over there very often, if ever. I will say, smu is everything that we should dislike and everything that manifests a bittter rivalry. Also, to hell with utsa. Side note: usf is really, really, really annoying. I love they are awful in everything. Except women's basketball, as one usf X user vehemently explained to me. But, they are definitely the most disliked group from a social media standpoint and for very good reason.
