  1. Exposure = eyeballs = money. The AAC will be able to get more in the current format and/or a restructured format than the MWC.
  2. This feels like a best case scenario thread rather than a prediction one.
  3. I don't know. But I certainly know you would've been showing up to that thread to... Then to...
  4. Nah. I see no problem. I'm confident in saying our run D will struggle. I hope you're right and I hope I'm wrong.
  5. Their incentive is exposure. Don't believe that's a big deal ask the pac12.
  6. We should. And to be frank, we have to.
  7. It should happen at the start of every defensive possession for us when the game is tied or if we're leading. As 1 poster eloquently put it, my sports nuts are tender when losing by 3 scores.
  8. Herein lies the problem. If dumb armchair quarterbacks can see, everyone can see
  9. If you like 6 and those 6 can stay relatively healthy and our sam LB can help protect the edge while the buck/star safety has the ability to play downhill we'll be aight. But a 6 man rotation in a 3 man front is pretty good, of which 4 of those guys can be interchangeable given certain circumstances.
  10. DL depth has to be playable. You can't roll 3 guys out there and expect them to perform at a high level all game. They can be in great shape, but high level play just won't be sustainable without depth that the coaching staff is comfortable rolling out there to eat up 10-15 high level reps for each position.
  11. But should I wait? Will there be more?
  12. Just reaching out to see if any UNT alum/fans are residing in San Diego? If so, would love to start a watch party group.
  13. Naive. Hopeful. I don't know.
  14. Shame. They're too stupid to understand it has nothing to do with UNT. I guess I expected better from our students.
  15. His efficiency is directly contributed to his yards per completion, at 15+ per. Which is really a tip of the cap to our run game. Which is really Patrick Cobbs, the stable of studs he coaches, and our OL showing the knack to be pretty aggressive at times.
  16. Yes, I almost used the chicken/egg analogy in my response. But I figured it's been beaten and battered to death
  17. Yeah, good for them. I'm not implying that we are. What I am saying is that investment dollars in sports almost always go hand in hand with success. Case in point: The top 3 investing athletic programs in the AAC in that timeframe are no longer AAC programs.
  18. Well, we all know why she is still employed.
  19. Defense is certainly not emphasized. Look at our current recruiting class for starters... We have 37 WR and a QB. Also, getting in the stack basically screams we are praying for confusion that equates to turnovers. This sort of feels like Seth Littrell, tbh. It will boil down to can Morris' staff recruit better than Littrell's all the while developing high level QB play (starter and non-starters). During the SL era we struggled with big bodied teams that emphasized the run game. UAB and the likes were our achilles heel. We were often more talented than they were, but they would go into.our games and bully ball us because our coach couldn't land better defensive players. I just use UAB as an example.
  20. To add a little context, this is donor money from 2005-2022. Financially, we are doomed. Going off memory, legacy AAC members invest double that of UNT, memphis invests 5x more than UNT in basketball. The programs that moved into AAC with UNT invest incrementally more, and all of them have bigger donor bases and money. And it's not that UNT alum aren't pulling their weight. They are. There's just not a lot of alumni willing to commit to UNT athletics, then donate. And that's the age old problem that we're all aware of and no one seems to know how to fix.
  21. I was unaware I was coaching against Holgerson. You mean our fired former football coach, Seth Littrell?
