  1. In Mazins defense, he is sort of a pass rush specialist. We did nothing with the box to get them to think about passing the football. I counted 4 and 5 man BOXES, not down linemen, BOXES over and over and over again. I was dumbfounded.
  2. I didn't 'come at you', but displeasure needs to be vocalized after that kind of performance. And anyone deflecting that displeasure is simply in the way of progress. But it is not my job and therefore I have no say. But if it were...for starters.. 1. Play your youngest of players that have potential. 2. Understand that I will be moving to a 4-man front. 3. Understand that I need to commit to the best players on my offense as it sits, my 4 running backs. 4. Understand that we will be hammering the piss out of the portal as soon as possible.
  3. Indeed. NT and LB play has to be elite and deep. Safeties have to be thumpers AND ball hawks. You are lining up less people FURTHER away from the LOS...where games are won and lost. It's just not very good. Morris has been noted as to saying his offenses struggle with it and that's why he likes it. Well, uh, duh.
  4. Light the way... I'm not so much on board for social media castration, really ever, but certainly not this early in a tenure. I can send emails like I'm a disgruntled 75 year old. That won't do anything, and we know that. Athletic departments are so insulated and contracts are created so favorable to the employee, it's a joke. And the punchline is that it's been said the best job in the world is a fired D1 collegiate HC. It's a wait and see approach at this point, but we can't witness what we did and not at least be critical of it on a fan message board. I think we can all agree with that.
  5. Yuuuuup. Let em lather in it and rejoice.
  6. I'm not sure what can be done. You can't just philosophy change in 1 week. The incompetence would be too bright for that. But Morris has to start thinking of contingencies and he has to have meeting after meeting with his recruiting department about strategies (the portal).
  7. I'm not angry at anything or anyone other than the shit product we were force fed yesterday. Now, they can go about fixing it. If it can't be fixed throughout the season, they can fix it in the portal. If they simply refuse to address the serious roster holes via the portal for another year then fire them all. This is not your daddy's college football. Timelines have shrunk and demand is up.
  8. Oh, so you're here to deflect away from the product and boast about lack of support? Sort of preaching to the choir, isn't it? I am certain that 90%+ on this forum are or have been season ticket holders and/or donors. We are all consumers of the product. Like any product. If I go to a burger joint and they swap out my patty with a piece of shit, I will complain about the product. If they keep doing it, I will get pissed off. What I least suspect, would be the cook coming out of the kitchen to tell me to be happy with my shit sandwhich while prices for that sandwich increase yoy.
  9. I am not sure we could be worse defensively. That was really bad.
  10. Ok... buddy. Be the defender. Stand tall in the face of very, very warranted critiscism.
  11. What are we going to do? I fail to remember that I'm an employee of the UNT athletic department...
  12. And I'm telling you it DIDN'T HAVE TO BE. However, I believe I have found our first Eric Morris loyalist. Why are you so committed to him given what we all witnessed yesterday? Please, elaborate?
  13. No, it really doesn't. Eric Morris did not recruit the portal to shore up major problems on the roster OR he didn't think the roster needed shoring up. I'm not sure which scenario is worse.
  14. We lost by 40 to a bad football team. I think being pissed off and demanding is pretty rational.
  15. It's concerning. But I certainly hold the HC accountable after a game than I do the AD. I like the premise of your post. The world of showing up to hot dog and cheese machine athletic events to suck off athletic administrators has to stop. We owe them nothing. We cannot let any one person destroy what Seth Littrell built. We were living in respectable mediocrity with Seth. Seth was fired and Eric was hired to propel us OUT of mediocrity, not keep us in it, and certainly not to drag us down. Shorten the leash. Our expectations do not need to faulter. Their performance has to improve.
  16. I'm not trying to be contradictory, but how do you possibly not see another blowout loss? Yesterday's team I saw gets blown out 3 or 4 times this season, minimal. Memphis - SMU - UTSA... minimum. Wouldn't be surprised to see a road game somewhere get out of hand. And though Navy got skcreboard dominated by ND, but moved the ball between the 20s much of that game...and that's scary knowing our front 7.
  17. We do. This is a fantastic h/h that Jared scheduled.
  18. I'm there with you. I have donated in the past. I quit when it was clear SL was coasting and everyone seemed fine with it. Donating blindly is a bad investment. I take all my other investments very seriously. I look at this no different.
  19. He's coping. And make no mistake, utsa will be shredding us.
  20. They really weren't. Linebackers were virtually MIA most of the game scraping towards wrong gaps or getting dominated by Cal OL. Our 17 players in the secondary were the tackling dummies and if they weren't pretending to tackle they were sliding past the ball carrier like they were playing baseball. Anything outside, our edge defender would be 6 yards from LOS pre snap... as if.
  21. It's not about beating FIU. Hell, lose that one this era is literally already over. It's about being competitive with the schedule that lays before us. After watching yesterday, the top 5 teams in the AAC will dominate us. We will struggle with the rest. 0% chance we're bowling, and it didn't have to be this way.
  22. Agreed. Change everything. Start with the front 7 and run schemes. Both were pathetic. Lose that 1, burn it to the ground.
  23. Don't matter. Look at alllllll these programs with countless transfers dusplaying COMPETITIVE football.
