  1. How can you say morris isn't wasting talent? I can say he's wasting our OL talent, running back talent, and Mazins talent...off the top.
  2. A few times on the broadcast it would pan over to the UNT sideline and Morris is a small guy and he would sort of back peddle or sink into sideline crowd with much larger people all around him. It reminded me of this...
  3. To a degree is doesn't matter, sure. I can agree with some of that. But these missed tackles weren't TFLs or stuffs, they were often 4-5-6-7 yards before square contact... that's scheme. And we'll continue to see it, imo.
  4. But do we have Barbie to lure him to Denton?
  5. Sure, they do. They handcuffed to both Benford and Littrell for 2 years too long. That's trying to sail rough waters into affordability. One thing is clear... this new athletic administration and coaching staff has suddenly started to slowly develop an Us vs Them type of barrier for really no good reason outside of feelings.
  6. I really hope you're right about conference play. It's difficult to envision after yesterday, but I hope you're into something
  7. Yes. Dumb and short-sighted.
  8. We seemed to score the only Australian from the entire continent that can't kick. What are the odds?
  9. It's typical UNT stuff. I don't know what it is, but people feel untouchable when they are employed by UNT. It's amazing. Like if you're an ops guy and your regional brings you in because your affairs are -17% this quarter are you going to stare that person down and say 'commit to me, I keep receipts.' They all live in fantasy land..
  10. Oh... so you enjoyed yesterday? No complaints?
  11. Well... a lot can be done. But what I do know about coaches is they often blame themselves in front of a mic and will instantly start screaming execution in coach film and team film. And that's a probable and scary notion. I don't know what they will do. I know what can be done, and it starts on the DL.
  12. I don't know the intricacies of who is on his staff, but what a staff cannot have are a bunch of self fulfilling "yes men" trying to climb the neverending coaching ladder. You have to have 2 or 3 guys, somewhat seasoned, that will hit you with truth bombs all week long and twice on Sunday's.
  13. ...so he says on Twitter. Well, buddy... the fans are too. And given the performance yesterday, plus you being the recruiting guy...your job just became very magnified. Hang onto this receipt. In the meantime... better start warming up that transfer portal...
  14. Elaborate on this....
  15. Give me your top 10 things to do about it...
  16. I was on the try to get Prime train at the onset. We haven't had a coach that cares about the LOS since McCarney. And he only cared for the first 12 months on the job. If you don't care about the LOS, coaches that do care about it will come in and pound us into submission. And giving Cobbs that opportunity may not have been the worst idea.
  17. Well, knowing UNT we are locked in to Morris until the end of 25 season. And he doesn't need to be fired, but some changing needs to happen and he has lots of work ahead of him
  18. I'm claiming nothing outside of the football team being an embarassment. The who, what, whatever, none of that matters to me. Fix it. That's the only solution as it sits. I don't care how, just do it.
  19. The issue with donating to UNT is that they have never given their consumer a show of good faith to: 1. Donate 2. Continue donating If I donate for X who is to say X ever actually happens. If I donate to the NIL who is to say that monies is adequately used. No one. We an an athletic department that runs on doing the bare minimum to field X sports for X amount of athletes. If we were serious about the NIL, whoever leads the thing would come to this very board (the vast majority of donors),and have candid conversations about money on hand and money needed to be successful and be transparent about momentum being generated off of our dollars bills. But I will not give to a slush fund knowing UNTs history of carelessness and inadequacy.
  20. Every player has their aiming point... the smallest players on the field aiming point is from thigh pad to knee, particularly on running backs. Him running in there to kiss shoulder pads is laughable.
  21. It's not about coming in and doing amazing. Losing is not the irritant... getting boatraced is. I think we endured enough of that during the SL era. The firing of SL was to get away from the blowouts, being more competitive, and snagging a bowl trophy here and there when a matchup presents itself.
  22. Yes. All very true and very accurate. But sliding down your normal slightly oversized 7 tech DE in a stack (which ours isn't - already undersized) to a 4 or 5 so you can walk an undersized LB up to a 7 or 9 to help set and spill is a weak and poor mans 4-man front. It's creating undersize people everywhere and when your 2 alley safeties rather dance than strike it, compounds the problems into problems at every level.
  23. I think some saw it. Others refused to see it. The defense, particularly run defense, was doomed from the start when a non-DC was pulled in to run the stack. We then proceeded to lose significantly more production to the portal than what we brought in. Then, a week ago, it's announced a former FCS QB wins the job. Sort of all... concerning.
  24. The Norah Jones over the PA during a defensive 3rd down was getting me pumped up. I bet the players were ready to run through a wall.
