  1. Their starting running back rushed for almost 10 ypc. The majority of that was vs a 3 man front. I'm amazed they only handed him the ball 16 times. In short, it is sometimes as simple as 3 man bad and 4 man good. The stats suggest it.
  2. Yup. And for the life of me I can't understand why. I also do not understand how Rogers was not EASILY named the starter. Pitiful talent evaluators.
  3. Think you'd have to be a college level coach to understand this needed to be done... <sarcasm>
  4. Cal might win 2 more games. But, sure.
  5. Good luck with all that. Accountability is not the name of UNTs game.
  6. I was unaware we're in a turnaround. Littrell wasn't fires for a turnaround. Morris wasn't hired for a turn around. The AD didn't imply this is a turnaround project. And Eric Morris spoke as a matter of factly about success.
  7. It ALWAYS needs to be change scheme to fit players while you RECRUIT players to FIT your SCHEME. That's coaching 101.
  8. I'm good, but I am tired of the country club shenanigans. Just more of the same. All that S needs to be rooted out.
  9. If we drop next week to latech and then lose to ACU the stage would be set for a likely 0-12 campaign. I think that's what he's saying. Are you a paid PR employee of the UNT athletic department? Or is your field access for your little picture taking that important to you? It's one or the other.
  10. Moving to the flex or spread/opt doesn't mean we don't care. It means that we have caved to the notion that UNT football cannot and will not compete in conventional manners. We can still care. We need to stay D1. We need to stay competitive. But we need to change our approach... clearly. Then boost basketball.
  11. If tremedous growth and downright change doesn't happen we will not win a conference game. Every team in the AAC beats FIU, except UNT.
  12. The northeast thing isn't true. There are programs in every corner of this country that prioritize basketball over football.
  13. This will never happen. Never say never, but I think I'm safe here. But what can happen in football here is the triple option. And to be honest, we very well could field a more consistent program doing it. Basketball can be a very viable marketer for a university.
  14. He can see talent? He is starting a QB that can read defenses or go through progressions. He then brings in the back up and he reads the D, makes adjustments, goes through progression, and plays efficiently. But Morris can see talent?
  15. Please, please, please this. I've been advocating for exactly this for a long time.
  16. Yes, you were. The UAB game last year was personally my last straw. I thought he absolutely had to go at that point. Now, looks like we'll get about 10 UABs this season. That still doesn't mean SL needed to not go. It just shows UNT dragged its feet through the process and made what is looking like a poor hire.
  17. This is the most probable thing that happened. Either way, Caponi has to go. There are TXHSFTBL DCs that would have this defense more ready, in a better fitting scheme, and aligned properly than what we are getting. That is real talk.
  18. Making about 20k-ish per week. And that as a decrease in what SL was getting. I'd be laughing, too.
  19. UNT doing UNT things.
  20. Same energy... big difference in the outcomes.
  21. If Chandler Rogers is not the QB moving forward I will just check scores from time to time throughout the remainder of the games this season. He is clearly the best QB on the roster, and I'm not sure how our Mike Leach disciple missed this. It's a gigantic red flag.
