  1. We out here playing 2 hand touch...
  2. And b4 that tried to get cute and run undeaneath the blitz and got our RB smoked. All things considered, if we can hold Navy to only another 13 in the 2nd half, I like our chances.
  3. I dont want to armchair too much, but our D&D playcalling sucks.
  4. To. The. House. Should be 17-7.
  5. Great drive stalled by DA playcall. Inside the 1... QB. SNEAK. Did Littrell sneak onto the sideline?
  6. The scheme will be changed. My goodness, if we trot out a 3-man front tomorrow then go ahead and literally burn it all to the ground.
  7. Look, another lie. Not only will you find positive posts in the LaTech thread from me, there are also positive posts still being held in que that week because my content was being moderated/censored due to feelings and such. You are constantly wrong about so much. Often blatantly, as if you're trying. As far as I'm concerned latech is the only team we have beaten.
  8. But is Cal? Lol. I know-I know, they're a totally solid football team, as you say. Glad they could put away that pesky 1-4 directionless ASU team by a fg. Also, since this post of yours, the mighty fightin Panthers were dismantled by NMSU. I'll go one further...Soon to be 0-6 Sam Houston hosts FIU in a few weeks... FIU will be SHSU 1st FBS win.
  9. Who cares what the score will be. We bout to have a triple option team run for 5 hundo on us. And as ugly as that is going to be, we will still have our HC look dead eyed in the camera and tell us he believes in what the defense is doing. And THAT will be uglier than any stat line.
  10. This is the root of the debate. Some people are willing to look past the lack of shoring up the roster to setup a competitive team. It's a we'll get em next time approach or a 'is what it is'. Meanwhile, others view the disregard as negligence. I fall in the group of the latter. But people in the 1st group will point to time restraints as a big part of the inability to shore things up. To be frank, that's just BS. Eric Morris was hired on December 13th. The spring portal opened on the 15th of April, or more than 4 months after Morris taking the job. But, then we found out that Morris isn't a big believer in the portal and that's not how he wants to build his team all the while recognizing that his big hs gets, that they develop, will get plucked away (all basically his words). So, in short, Eric Morris is neglecting the roster by preference, understands that his better high school recruits will leave, all the while not instilling discipline and accountability. I'm not much of a betting man, but I'd bet 2 things on this unless some serious changes occur: 1) He will never see a 2nd contract 2) He won't make it to the end of his 1st contract.
  11. They very well could. The stack is notoriously not good vs the run. When you don't have the players to execute it, it can become historically bad. I tried to voice this back in the summer. I was told by several posters here that it would be fine. Well, I guess fine is a relative word...
  12. D. His lack of talent evaluation had us starting an FCS quarterback in meaningful games in relation to bowl eligibility. His lack of evaluation had him and us thinking we were better than what we were. Pair that complete and utter failure, his DC hire has been a trainwreck. The basis of his decision to go with that philosophy, not just individual DC, is another trainwreck. That is not a validated reason to choose that defensive philosophy. Nevertheless, the path to bowl eligubility was clear from the jump. Now you have to go win 4 games in conference. In my opinion, there is no path to be 4-4 in conference play. Maybe they prove me wrong, and hopefully they do. I'm just afraid this defense will not allow. And though the offense flashes good stuff, it's not potent enough to make up for the worst defense in FBS.
  13. In football, this holds weight. In basketball, you would think coaches would want to play some OOC Q1/Q2 games if they don't have many/enough.
  14. This is 100% started to happen. And will become widespread for the well to do. It will start to look like the 70s and 80s before the scholarship limit. The haves will basically start stacking talent for the sake of having it.
  15. Ohhhhhh..... Alabama = UTSA = Notre Dame Got it. We are one ostrich in the sand fanbase. It's miraculous how neverending this place is. The more things change, the more identical it looks.
  16. UNT by 20ish. 40 something to 20 something or 50 something to 30 something.
  17. Sure, no doubt. Very well can learn from the upperclassmen and very well could develop into a nice player. Could. He's our 16th commit of this class and our 1st linemen in the entire class, OL/DL. If we were shored up well with rostered and committed players then he would be a nice addition as a developmental player. We aren't. In the 2 classes that this staff has worked on we have 3 OL committed/signed. 2 FBS offers. Our direct competitor, UTSA, has 8 OL signed from last class and/or committed to this class. 36 FBS offers not including the UTSA offers. Looks like 6 of them are the real deal with lots of offers and 2 with 0 FBS offers much like Mr. Lewis here. And I don't even want to think about doing a side-by-side comparison of the DL. It would probably be ridiculously ugly.
  18. Very, very good stuff. #GMG
  19. Still a lot of slots to be filled. But we have certainly entered into the show me what you can do stage becuase telling me is getting old.
