  1. Yes, and it's unfortunate. But they are using the system and striking while the iron is hot. Most of these guys have no financial future in athletics, and they know that. Also, similar to players are coaches making alike moves. HCs at underfunded programs who get paid in the 5-800k range have given up their head coach role to take 1.2-2M coordinator roles at "bigger" programs.
  2. He still won games. He at least beat the likes of FIU. My knock wasn't really him not being able to win bowl games or conference championships, though frustrating. My knock on him was the product that he fielded in those games. It was putrid, and often embarrassing. Completely outclassed in most big games. I can count 6 games where the expectation going in was apathetic and left pleasantly surprised... bowl vs Army, vs Army, @Army, @Arkansas, The Drive, and the perfect season destroyer vs UTSA. The letdowns outnumbered those little pleasant surprises by double, maybe triple.
  3. Sounds like you all need to set your feelings down before getting on here then.
  4. But no one ever says what I say is wrong. Just bitter responses. Js
  5. Kinne has swag. Kids want to play for that. Morris has poser swag. Kids can see right through that. 0 surprise their stud back is staying put and ours (several) is leaving.
  6. That's nonsense. There are players not leaving for the NFL, but for other college programs that did not play in their team/former teams bowl game. And they are going to their new school(s) for $.
  7. Every turn is an oFfErTuNiTy to take a shot at North Texas.
  8. They literally do not. They literally pay more than any alum or fan to get in with their athletic fees. You are like 30, and your mind is that of a 75 year old. Where do legitimate basketball programs put their students? Answer: not in upper bowls.
  9. Yeah.. let's alienate an already terrible student section. That'll show em
  10. I have it on good authority he was definitely bitter on his way out, and became more bitter when he found out who his replacement was.
  11. Not really. Just pointing out the obvious. Yes.
  12. Uhh... except their starting quarterback did not play. I know your deep obsession of smu runs deep, but that's a reach comment.

  14. You can put it on him to a degree. Got a qb wet behind the ears and the playcaller is calling plays like he's got Tom Brady under center. 45 pass attempts while getting 6 yards per carry. Lean on that run game and they probably win. Glad they lost.
  15. Smu and Tulane just shells of the teams they were mid-season, particularly Tulane. The rules in CFB, as well as the saturation of bowls, have killed the bowl season and the competitive spirit of these games.
  16. I dunno. But unlv was looking very north texas like on defense. When a unlv defender would accidently find himself in frame of my 75inch TV then bean would throw a pick. Otherwise, it was like 7v7 without the other 7.
  17. Perfect analogy. And the genius will still say yes.
  18. I'm referencing our per player rating. There are several handfuls of programs ranked below 74th that have better per player averages.
  19. Our composite average is 100s. More doesn't mean better.
  20. It's not. Our average has declined. Our bottom 5 players in this class had 1 offer, UNT. Let's let them apply ratings, but it will be status quo. We aren't the only program with unrated players. College football, outside of the 30 programs that "matter", is dead. Every single rule, or lack thereof, is designed to break parity down and further the gap. Stipulations, much like what the NIT has initiated, will inevitably be placed on college basketball in due time. There is no more theory of keeping up. The fast cars are now way too fast.
  21. Good luck with all that. The AAC tv deal will dramatically change as will the new look ACC. But tell yourself what you need to.
  22. We know this. At SMU they're paying to be a part of that new FCS. It's all pretty funny.
