  1. No. You're not understanding. We need it. You're right. We need it to exist. I agree with that. I disagree with the funding it gets. Would we even know if the funding dropped from 11M to 9.8M? What difference are we truly looking at? My bet is that we wouldn't even know it if we weren't told. I can tell you that extra 1.2M into basketball would make a gigantic difference. See what I'm saying?
  2. Hod bowl? No. Beating a bad UNLV team, even in a bowl game, with defensive football did not garner attention. 20ish G5 programs won a bowl last month. I watched some of them. Don't remember any of them. The opponent, Final score, or name of the bowl. Bowls are now meaningless, barely attended, and boring.
  3. It can't. Success is UNT Footballs kryptonite. I've come to that conclusion over the years. The program is 112 years old and we have a losing record of suckage. We can't afford to consistently pay our top 30 football guys what the market dictates. Therefore, we will always be playing keep up. Simply put, it's too expensive to go where we want to go. Too many mouths to feed and not enough money to feed them. We're also battling UNTs football reputation as well as the campus culture. Also, the most meaningful game UNT football can ever even play in is the conference championship game, then the potato sack bowl brought to you by Advocare. Financially, it's ignorant to keep doing what we're doing. Not ignorant as the people know what they're doing. Bluntly put, it's stupid. And I don't know if they're stupid, if they like stupid decisions, or if they stupidly want to keep funding the way things have always been funded because they don't want to rustle feathers while they look for their "bigger" better paying job a la Wren Baker. Nevertheless, there's some stupid involved somewhere.
  4. I don't want to rush Rubin. I also don't want to play fau without Rubin. Man, I hope our crowd is rocking.
  5. We need football. What we don't need is our 3 million dollar budgeted sport out classing our 11 million dollar budgeted sport year after year after year after year after year... eventually common minds will come together and cut that 11 million dollars and give some to the sport that actually performs. To me, that "eventually" is now. It's not justifiable to blindly dump that money into a failing product yoy. And given the rules now in place, it never will be. Put the money into what will garner positive attention to the university. After all, sports is the front porch to the university, right? I promise you, the forward thinking universities in our peer group are already having these conversations. We can be proactive for once, or me reactive as per usual.
  6. VA is 14-5. They're doing well. Don't they have a board?
  7. A little fecal matter found its way out mid-flight.
  8. Suck it.
  9. Ever? That's bold. What happens when the AAC = ACC. Which every protagonist is stating as such. Then what? Does ever come and go quick?
  10. If they want, sure. It doesn't make sense, though.
  11. It's monetary based. They literally call Gonzaga a "power program" in a mid-major conference. They signify it that way to help the rich (power conference) programs who get their heads bounced off the court by the Zags. It's all a joke.
  12. They beat FAU, and before today, no one else of note. Look at their schedule. Patterson is that team and help never came or came too late. And he was draining buckets. We shot freaking 6% from 3. That is not CLT. Has virtually nothing to do with them. Our guys sucked.
  13. This. Plus 2 assists. Plus getting doubled up at the charity stripe.
  14. Yes. Just today. From what I'm watching. I have watched Charlotte this year for about 37 minutes of basketball, today. And they ain't it. Yet, they're embarrassing us.
  15. This is bad basketball. If buggs/Rubin don't make it back soon and steer this ship we will be middle of the pack in this leauge. Again, clt is not very good. We are just worse.
  16. And I hate to say it... there is nothing impressive about CLT. But they are abusing us right now.
  17. No, no. We really only have 6 available today. Play THOSE 6.
  18. We badly need a true pg. Edwards is a defensive liability. Stone is a defensive liability and anemic on offense. Frankly, I'm surprised he gets this many minutes. We have to play inside --> out. No paint touch = bad possession.
  19. Well, didn't your undergrad school go into that same gym and get slapped around by like a 30 piece mcnugget?
  20. This is not good. Memphis, FAU, UAB, UNT, and CLT (Wichita St, but not this year) are the programs that have to win vs the rest of the pack. This has to be the cream of the crop and these 5(6) programs battle it out among themselves. It's how NET is strengthened.
  21. Haha, literally best me to it.
