  1. Well, you can stop with the personal critiques and leave it to the questions if you'd like...
  2. Well...Can we agree there is something going on with the offense? And if we can, what is your expert insight on our issues? If we can't agree, you're just pumping rainbows and butterflies.
  3. Those opportunities can be the difference of winning and losing. And it's most certainly the difference in letting inferior opponents linger around and gain confidence.
  4. In your scenario, they will go to the playoff. Wake Forests best year ever was a 3 loss Orange Bowl season in 2006. In which they lost. Wake Forest isn't going undefeated, ever. In that year the bellcows of the ACC had a combined 20 losses. It was a very, very down year for that conference. And somehow WF managed to still lose 2 conference games. And every team similar to Wake Forest will have a probable mirrored football history. It's just not happening. Seth there or not.
  5. Do NOT question the performance of this QB. People will post his statistics and try to vilify you as the devil himself. But I agree. Either the drops or the phantom pressure (yes sometimes real pressure) are getting to MF. Over the last 3 or 4 games he is quick to look off a receiver, specifically longer routes, and go the way of underneath crossing patterns or dump offs. Something is going on. I have no idea what, but something. He has to trust his OL and WR and stand tall and sling it. Then he needs to live with the results. He can't be afraid to make mistakes, which may be another part of the equation.
  6. Agreed. They have a shot in theory and affiliation only. But realistically, a school like UCF has more of a shot to make it into the playoff than the likes of Vandy, KU, Wake Forest, Syracuse, Illinois, Northwestern, BC, Ga Tech, etc etc etc. They have been monopolized out of the conversation by their own 'peers'. Just more of a reason to create some baseline way of establishing even an inkling of parity. It's what makes the NFL so attractive to their customers. Because THIS year is OUR year is always a realistic reality.
  7. I think we need to win more. We also need a prideful alum base and student body. Over time the former will take care of the latter. To expedite, far more can be done in freshmen orientation other than learning the claw and making a giant human UNT in Apogee. I don't know what else. I don't get paid to come up with those ideas, but a lot more could be done to draw that interest. Not to create a midnight yell or anything at all. But something needs to be planned and orchestrated to garner that week to week support of the entire student body. For students, particularly our student body, more has to be done than staking ground level posters around campus and tweeting. Want to get that student section buzzing...make them prideful of what university they belong to and what it means to support their athletic teams. The free stuff is cool and all as was done last year. But that's gimmicky and temporary. Same goes with the wrestling stunt this year, gimmicky and temporary. I'm more so referring to acts that will instill tradition and pride.
  8. @emmitt01 I think you're underestimating the stupidity and desperation that AD's are created into when negotiating contracts. To answer...Tech would. Luckily, Coach Hair Gel Hands has got them playing decent. As for Kansas, they actually might. Jeff Long (former Arkansas AD) is their new AD and he has publicly stated that the university is going to show a real commitment to football. So take that for what you will. More of a threat imo are the 10 job openings that will inevitably open at seasons end.
  9. Go off is an exaggeration a bit. Before that garbage TD run of 34 yards he was sitting at 61 yds on 16 carries for 3.8 ypc. Last year, this team went as Jeff Wilson went before injury. This is now MF team and this team goes as MF goes. I put 0 stock in our rushing offense outside of using it to score, situational, and to keep defenses honest. GH doesn't need and hopefully won't force the passing game but his attempts, quality attempts, need to increase to push this team over the hump. That's all I'm saying.
  10. He didn't sign with Jimmy Sexton for no reason. Sexton is known for pushing the envelope and playing up interest of other schools to get his clients (and himself) more money. After all, he has 11 or 12 SEC head coaches as clients...somehow. So he's privy to bullshitting his way to a couple hundred thousand per off-season. If people thought Seth was our knight in shining armour....well...don't hold your breath. This solidifies his departure, probably sooner than later.
  11. That's some stuff I hope no one has to go through at such a young age. It can be brutal on a family. I hope he fights through these hardships and carries onto a successful life.
  12. Had no idea that Jimmy Sexton got his hands on Littrell. Might as well kiss Littrell good bye or say hello to a historical 'G5' contract in the future. Fat Jimmy will see to one or the other.
  13. Very true. All true. Then we need to be slightly more 1 dimensional and let him flourish. We have the 85th ranked rush offense and the 8th ranked passing offense. Both sides are getting equal amount of opportunity. We run it 38 times a game and pass it 40 times a game, though weather may have skewed these numbers due to neccissity. Put the ball in the guys hand and let him sling it if weather permits. We were on an offensive explosion early in the year because his attempts were way up. Since, they have declined quite a bit. I'm not saying go full on air raid for 60 attempts and run the ball if the situation dictates it. But something is going on with the offense. The only indicator given is an increase in rush attempts and decrease in pass attempts. The offense has to get back into its groove and that lies at the feet of the qb (and play caller).
  14. Then he needs to break out and throw for 350 and carry this team to a W. Hasn't thrown for 3 bills since Incarnate Word.
  15. Do we really have a super star quarterback? He has been in a funk. Last year we had the luxury of leaning on a very good running back which allowed MF to pick his spots and take advantage of defenses trying to limit JF. We need MF to be on his A game and trust his reads and make his throws. Super star QB playing the offense out of its funk - UNT - 42 UAB - 23 If our offense continues to be stagnant with our D holding the slipping rope - UNT - 27 UAB - 34
  16. Oh I forgot about Google weirdly putting the home team on top a few weeks ago. You are correct. But either way.
  17. No. It didn't rain a drop during the game. It was overcast and cool. It was actually nice. More could've been done to get more people there. Like a phantom lightning storm delay and a mass email/text for a 5 o'clock kick. That could've easily doubled or tripled attendance. But it was monsoon conditions all around DFW up until 1 or 2...Right at, around or after kick. If the weather is even decent, there will be a top 5 crowd. If we beat UAB look for a sellout.
  18. 3-3 Coastal Carolina went into Birmingham and blew UAB out. If they can do that...we can do that. Though they appear to be playing better football now. But whatever CC did, we need to do offensively. Study and duplicate.
  19. Oh definitely. But I'm also referring to the cheating they do in recruiting. It's disgusting and blatant and everyone knows it and the NCAA won't do shit about it.
  20. I wasn't even going to go this angle, but so true. It's as if many believe SL rose on the 3rd day.
  21. As they should have been. In the meantime the NCAA should've looked right down the road and threw 3 or 4 wrenches in that cheating machine in Tuscaloosa.
  22. Nothing about UAB scares me. They want to ball control with their running game, just like last year. We slowed their run game down in Apogee last year and our secondary did what they do last year...give up big play after big play to let them linger around like a wet fart. If we lose this game it will be because our D doesn't show up paired with both our offense continuing its stagnant play as well as us losing the turnover battle. This is how we lose. Not saying it can't happen, I just don't see it happening.
  23. Does Seth believe anything? Because he thinks a grossly amount of things are unbelievable. And has he ever seen an OK team or even a bad opposing team? And who cares if the empty stadium bothered him. It. Was. Shit. Weather. Also, the fans have set 2 attendance records this season alone and will probably set a 3rd. Just don't bite the hand that feeds you.
  24. Make the blue bloods be the one's to pull away then. Never concede. It gives them exactly what they want. We and ALL 'G5' universities should be going as hard against the grain as possible.
  25. No, it didn't. You aren't the only one privy of watching that program grow and develop. They use to play a ton of their games on weekdays and I remember them vividly. You don't see them on tv much often anymore ever since the MWC opted out of weekday schedules.
