We had some OL mishaps tonight. But that was to be expected given the opposition. MF still went 75% 340 and 3 td. Yet...we went 23 carries at 2.8 ypc. A waste of at least 10-12 passing opportunities. This team has proven to be an ineffective run team outside FCS transition Liberty. If Fine would've had those 10 to 12 attempts sprinkled in throughout...and his numbers hold pat...we win. Quit the bs running.

Jimmys and joes are important. But physicality out performs finesse 9/10. We are not physical at the point of attack, offensively or defensively. Therefore, quit trying to force the run game. Throw that bitch 55-60 times a game. Fine is efficient. High completion %. Productive yardage. It works, wr ramp up the score. Then we get laxed and start forcing the run. The la tech game and this one are almost mirror image of one another.

The inevitable and very, very predictable, "If you would have told me after 8 games we would be 6-2 before the season started I would've taken it..." I see that's already being thrown around. The play calling was predicated and predictable. Some of those pressures go on play calling. The safery, which was the game changer (and the 4th and 2 bs call) falls squarely on this cross eyed offensive staff.

Meh. With this play calling and finnesse type of play we could have those classes and would still get punched in the mouth by physical teams. Recruiting is imperative, but so is philosophy. We teeter to and away from ours every game. When we go full out air raid we look great....when we try and get cute we get shut down. Until that bs stops it will be a lot of the same.

He gets antsy with the refs alllll at the wrong time. We do not need to run the ball anymore. Quit trying. It has now cost this team 2 games. Throw the damn ball 60 creative times a game. Glad world beaters like UAB own our tough conference. Makes us all look great. No one else will say it and will pretty much look thr other direction, but this staff is a garbage in game and situational coaching staff. They do minimal things right when crunch time hits.

No running game to speak of so UAB is pinning ears and we're throwing slow developing passing trees. Wth is this offensive staff doing. And this O is leaning on our D. We need help from this offense!!!!

UAB is far more physical on both sides of the ball.

Or how about our conference commissioner negotiate better during tv contract time rather than me calling my tv subscriber about a channel I don't have. Seems like the former would be far and away more beneficial to us, the program, university, and conference than the latter.

Anytime I have to jump through loopholes in 2018 to watch a major D1 FBS team play on Saturday's it tells me all I need. Or have to register for subsrictions to cancel a day later, tells me all I need to know. I don't care for a Busch leauge pre game intro of a bunch of suburban dads I've never heard of practically read a google search of our team and opposition, I don't care for that. If I'm jumping through these loopholes as a big fan, I know The average fan is not. And I definitely know the average cfb fan is not. I would hate to see our tv ratings...or streaming ratings. But to each its own I suppose.

I agree. I have not seen a CUSA game on tv all year outside of them playing a 'P5' team. It's ridiculous. I mean we're already playing a Thursday game and it's not even on prime time tv. It's on some bs stsdium/bein/CBS sports Busch league network. If we're gonna do the Thursday game, do it conference wide and get us on major networks. I honestly feel like the sunbelt gets more exposure than CUSA and it's not even close.

Valid point. He may think that. And if he does, good luck to him. A coach that comes to mind in a similar situation is PJ Fleck. He had the boat rowing at Western Michigan and decided to take off to a school with the same (maybe slightly more) pedigree as Wake in Minnesota. Schools like that have an uphill battle to be competitive against their peers. Only seldom does a coach force their programs like these into consistent national relevance. Beamer and Patterson come to mind as in they rose their programs from the ashes and have had consistent national success.
