  1. That would take court action, needed court action for it to happen. The G5 presidents, AD's, and BOR's have to band together, or at least a good 25 or 30 of them and flex their muscles with an antitrust suit. That is the way to get that ball rolling. The problem is that this industry that they wall work in, specifically at the G5 level, they'd be stepping on their own toes while they themselves are trying to climb the professional ladder. It's a good ole boys club and whatever incentives and inside networking they do have would vanish at the literal snap of a finger. Prime example of this: Go look up videos of coaches speaking in regards to the G5 v. P5 model during CUSA media days. Bring a bucket with you, it's nauseating. Because let's face it the coaches, at the media made up G5 and (P5) level, are the faces of the programs and they would have to be the one's to really get this ball rolling down hill with some steam. But they are afraid to do it because they don't want to lose their personal inclusion and they don't want to be black-listed out of future (and higher paying) jobs. So, they just play along in their little bubble. It's all eff'd up.
  2. Question 1: What has Seth Littrell been saying to recruits during his recent visits? Question 2: What information are you or the staff being told about the current commits feelings about their current commitment? That is all.
  3. Very well stated. If UNT has its sights on competing then pull out all of the stops and compete. If they are fed up with drowning while trying to sporadically come up for air then go to FCS. UNT has struggled for so long because they tried to play a middle ground and that can't be done. But the system is flawed and not even close to a level playing field.
  4. I was more so referring to the ring comment. With that said, Les Miles has not had to recruit in the modern game. He helped bring along OSU some time ago which recruiting had to play an important role. Even then it wasn't in these times. Yes, he was at LSU and did well at LSU. But let's face it, at LSU, it recruits itself. Ed Orgeron will recruit well there. The guy after Ed will too and so forth and so on. It will be interesting to watch this KU saga unfold. I think he will get them competitive just by his philosophy of game control, physical D, etc. But that's where his success will end, at competitiveness, and I am not even sure what that even holds, 4-8 or 5-7 with only 2 blowout losses instead of 6? Maybe a bowl game after year 3 or 4 at 6-6?
  5. journalists do not want fact and logic in the theme of their writing. It undermines their goal.
  6. I don't think so. I think he's a defensive guy that runs a lot of dbl TE sets and he's pretty old in comparison. Very similar in style of Les Miles. But I guess Bohl was the architect of NDSU.
  7. OK, Mr. Technically Correct.
  8. Ksu doesn't have to cross his lips. He can just state that I decided North Texas is the place I want to be.
  9. indeed. Many students are out of touch with reality. 1 of 2 things happen in time...They either grow out of their stupidity or become lifelong losers.
  10. If SL stays I really, really hope it's because he turned down ksu. I also hope he states just that in a press conference. It would bring a boost to not just him and his integrity, but also to our program as a whole. It would help with the perception change and recruiting moving forward. The school then announces a 2M salary for him.
  11. So they award it to what they perceive as the best player and not the most valuable player to a team. If so, then it makes sense.
  12. You might be reading to much into this. Wasn't Seth at a dog and pony show the last couple days in his fancy suit and just getting back to Texas? What would be shiiiiiity is if he and his staff are just going around to the committed guys they want to take with them doing 4 coach full court press to get them 100% to KSU with them.
  13. The AD is asking whoever can to donate whatever they can to help send as many students to the game as possible. Just a FYI.
  14. I mean...there is no way he's leaving if he's still out there hitting the recruiting trail for UNT. This whole situation is discombobulated.
  15. And he still could've been MVP as a 2nd team player. I'm assuming that's meant for above replacement type of MVP? If so, he still could've been 2nd team QB and league MVP (to his team). But being THE offensive player of the year as a 2nd team offensive player kind of contradicts each other.
  16. Agreed. I think if there isn't a team meeting pre/post practice tomorrow then he may very well be staying for 2019. I would think the players would have already been informed of a team meeting for tomorrow though, right?
  17. Good stuff.
  18. He's not bad. I don't think anyone ever said that. He is unproven. He has yet to win a big game, haul in a good recruiting class, and has proven to have some chinks in the armor that still haven't been polished up. Just go look at our games in 2017 and the games in 2018. And don't look at the finals, though some of those will scare you too, but dive into the boxscore and you'll see.
  19. That's hear say. If he is annually 5th out of 10 teams for 4 or 5 yesrs he will be on the fast track to nowhere. That's what? 6-6 to 8-4 type years? OU will not pull SL away after 5 years of an average 7-5. Matter of fact, if anything, you guys may be looking for an exit strategy if he rolls up a bunch of 7-5's.
  20. Dang Cerebus is on top of this thing. That tweet is s minute old. Cyber stalking is a thing, right?
  21. Out of whack? Being better is not out of whack.
  22. He gave due credit. Then he pulled the curtain all the way back. It's fine.
  23. I'm just debunking his BS. They think they're prestigious. They are nothing. At least we know what we are and what we're striving to be. KSU fans clearly have no desire to admit what they are or strive to be better. You know, just 1 competitive team every 4 or 5 years.
