Much better ways to justify your point than this clown show garbage. Carry on.

Great win!

They were short defensive backs. Given the scenario of UCF right now, that's where I would want to be short. Also to note, you're exaggerating the truth. LSU came into that game down 3 starters = injury, NFL sitout, and a LB that was out first half only due to a 2nd half targeting call vs ATM the game before. It's not UCF's fault that Delpit targeted and was tossed, an injury, and a another DB tossed due to throwing a punch. Cute try though.

Boring and often times excessively empty stadiums.

Though markets are important, I don't think it's held at such a high regard as it was just 5 years ago. We have a thing in the state of Texas that runs deeper than anywhere I have ever seen...t-shirt fan-itis. It's a state wide epidemic that starts with the Cowboys and UT and trickles down. No one in this state wants to be a diehard fan until it's convenient to be a diehard fan, at least from what I have seen and experienced.

Yeah...It's a testament to their overall team. We played our freshman QB 2 1/2 quarters and got mopped by USU. UCF started theirs and dropped 32 points vs LSU. For the LSU fans and "P5" cronies stating that the G5 argument is dead. To that I say UCF competed vs an SEC power and had the ball late in the 4th quarter down 1 possession with a freshman QB playing pretty poorly. To note, LSU rushed 2.9 ypc on something like 50 attempts. They tried to lean on UCF defense and they did in the 4th quarter, but their passing game created the separation. It also helps LSU that UCF went 3 and out eight times due to their QB just not seeing his reads. A healthy Milton on his game carves them up for 50 points while at least cutting out half of those 3 and outs, book that.

I agree. It's a tiresome excuse. It's up to the players and coaches to be motivated to play the game. I don't care about motivation. It's the task at hand. Jake Fromm being off his game was the difference. UT stacked and dared Fromm to beat them, and he couldn't. The better team won.

It's 1 game.

In their defense, they get the best match ups. But yeah, they sucked though.

I'll be there. Need to rally the alumni troops for this one. The team has dictated good attendance, specifically for big games.

St Mary's went 28-5 one year and didn't get in. Had a similar record the year before, snubbed then too.
-
This happened only because WVU wanted this to happen, not UH. So, yes, still delusional. Maybe more so now.

ESPN's Film Room Simulcast

Not a fan of it. It's cute they're letting Memphis and Boise coaches on there, but it's just free publicity for the rich to get richer. It's also awkward and forced commentary. It's meh at best. -
Uh...ok?

No it won't. Raise the bar to 7 wins and have 30 bowls excluding playoff games. That's 60 of 129 non national title contending teams playing postseason football. Anymore is saturation. It's really a non issue anyway. TV ratings will take of this organically in due time.
-
There are waaaaaay too many. Support has wilted and the point of them will soon fall flat on their face. But I would also like to see the 7 or 8 wins be the new plateau. Make it 30 with the win total concrete at 7. It would make the meaning of the bowl 2 fold more prestigious. Support would follow suit in time.

Auburn under Malzahn has been doing the huddle for years. They call it a muddle huddle. We run too many power plays in these situations, almost exclusively. We can't do that. It's slow developing and leaves a hole unattended due to a pulling tkl or guard. The pulling lineman is also a huge key read for defenses. Also doesn't help we do it almost in all short yardage situations, so the D knows it's coming.
-
I like the idea at times, but not with those guys. I prefer a little more beef in that role so they can fall forward for that extra yardage.
-
They're sinking in relation to players not believing anymore, assistants being poached, and a head coach sitting on a seat of fiery coal. They are a far cry where they were not so long ago just in Herman's last year there.
-
Goes to show the meaning of these bowls and 90% of CFB's end all. Joke.
-
This should be a game that as many people as possible should attend. The team us playing well and deserve a really good home conference opener. I've had it circled for a few weeks.
-
Oh my...they're delusional. They are a sinking program. We better beat the brakes off them next year. Leave 0 doubt.
-
The good 'programs' can insert QB2 into a game and still maintain competitiveness. Good programs find a way. We folded in that game. We were outcoached and outmanned, and due to our loser mentality fan base we don't demand answers. We accept results with our tail tucked and mouth shut. Meh.
