Oh.. thank you Grant for your time spent at UNT. But..

It's remarkable. Imagine us winning 20 games and firing our coach. That doesn't even fall into the realm of having or raising expectations. It's difficult to win 20 games regardless of your conference. Now, they'll be playing tougher comp next year and the new coach will know 20 is the barometer. A lot of looking over the shoulder. Good luck, buddy.

That's pretty big

Unlikely. Their boosters won't take kindly to hiring a 1st year D1 coach with 14 losses. I'm not worried. And I'm pretty sure smug tried to do the same to Grant and he waited for a better gig. I anticipate, even if this unlikely scenario were to happen, Ross to do the same.

Meh. 1 has starter minutes. Another has reserve minutes. The other 2 don't play. The rest of their team (contributors)... 6'6", 6'6", 6'2", 6'4". We'll be aight if we play our game and keep playing great gap help defense.

We are not outgrowing anything. Marquee games would simply dictate more ticket money, sellouts, and great atmospheres. Good games would still draw a very good crowd with an actual good atmosphere. And poorly attended games (1/3 or more of our home games) wouldn't sound, feel or look like an echo chamber. I can count on 2 hands (maybe 1) how many times the draw has surpassed 7k in the last decade+. -
Let's get by Seton Hall first.

He hasn't been clutch. And that's not to say he can't, but he hasn't. He's like a well oiled offense between the 20s.

Yet, they found a way to play in front of their fans. Pretty dope little gym btw.

Our weak help was slow this year. Our on ball defense took a step back. But our gap defense is brilliant. It's phenomenal, really. -
Yeah... as long as we can score more than 14 points in the first half on Sunday I don't care what jersey they wear, right? RIGHT?
-
Maybe. Does St Joe also have Scott, Edwards, Allen, Jones, Buggs, Noland, etc? If so... give me St Joe by 10.

Nothing suggests that it's realistic. Major brand programs aren't coming to the Pit, and they certainly aren't anymore given our competitiveness. Ultimately, attendance and atmosphere is driven by students. Our students are very inconsistent. Our alum are too busy trying on long whorn t-shirts at Walmart so they can have their need of self-worth fulfilled. -

Not realistic. Our arena is gigantic given our leauge and attendance history. To create a little perspective, there are 22 major programs that have a smaller arena than us. Something to the tune of what NJIT has would be pretty incredible. But make it 5500 capacity. -

RH has does a good job considering everything. As for your attendance remark, we have to get the team out of that echo chamber of an arena. We need a 5500-6500(max) arena that gives the team the environment they deserve.- 21 replies

As for schools not honoring their full NIL commitment, that's happening. -

That's exactly what he posted on X after Georgia's early exit from the SEC tourney last year. -

I'm sure that's exactly what is happening. We don't. And I've read the same. No. He won't be in their HoF and shouldn't be in ours. Seems pretty self explanatory. -

Good return over 5 months. Also, not life changing. He turned his back on culture to what will amount to 190ishk after taxes. Look, I ain't mad at him. Ultimately, I honestly don't care. It was just fitting to watch karma take care of all that in 1 night. But he will definitely find a seat next to Drez on the "I shouldn't have left" couch. My only question is, will he be as open about it as Drez was? I hope. Good recruiting pitch for us.- 34 replies

I understand all of that. I don't despise the guy. I don't wish ill will towards him. But I will say it was sugary sweet watching Kansas State and Xavier lose as we advanced. But TP ingrained himself into our culture and embodied it. Then left it, for peanuts. In his heart of hearts, I gurantee you he wishes he stayed. But, meh. Onto rd2 of NIT. -
Meh. This is North Texas basketball. I expected to win.

We 100% get in. We beat st John's, Fordham, lsu, miss st (can afford to drop that one), split fau, sweep uab and smu, Boise, wouldn't have had that ugly nutsack blemish. That's plus 9. 27-5 with decent noncon victories and in a better conference. That's in. 100%.
