  1. And all the sunshine pumpers will wait until the loss sets in and defend and defend and defend. Bunch of soft toothed ninnies.
  2. We trash. Heads need to roll. I love this team, but I'm not coming back to support this team until firings take place. SL has the emotion of an eraser on a tip of a pencil.
  3. That's just it...We're not talking about the accomplishments of the Dickey era. I talk that era up quite often. I am just referring to the running the ball, drain the play clock, just to run the ball again while doing it with no creativity to give his team a REAL chance at a win. And no, I am not wrong that the coaching staff designed game plans to eat the clock while trying not to get absolutely killed with minimal to no intent on truly winning the game. And I am aware they aren't going to 'beat me up'. You implied it as is if I wouldn't state the matter of the fact due to being afraid of being beaten up.
  4. OK. And it more so was the philosophy taken by the coaching staff in those games, not the players. But I'll tell them. What are they going to do, beat me up? OoOoOoOoO... . . . . . .
  5. Yeah, I didn't say that. And I don't personally think the team or coaching staff is approaching these games in that manner. I just think they were out coached/out played vs just laying down a la Dickey.
  6. Yup. Hardware to hang....SL has nada.
  7. I don't think a 1-3 OOC record is a worse case scenario. I would say, given all the facts, it's the most likely scenario.
  8. I think it's more so looking at this year's results and foreshadowing another probable 1-3 OOC record for next season. Because if we're all being honest with ourselves, 2-6 after back-to-back years in OCC is very likely.
  9. SMUs success sums up OUR season to YOU? You can quit toting around their jockstrap anytime.
  10. Not sure I would say only at UNT. There were several other former SBC members that came over right before, with us, or shortly after us. We need to move away, completely, from east division teams. The realignment of SBC/CUSA must happen ASAP. There is no reason to delay this. NO ONE cares about those east teams except for those east teams and their fan bases. We need to get Arkansas State, ULL, Texas State + the 7 CUSA West members. Play a round robin schedule with 9 conference games and call it a day.
  11. Which is absurd, if true.
  12. Yeah, I would believe that. They are not good. They were 126th in overall team defense last year. And moving into this year they may have not improved all that much. You're just flabbergasted at the fact that they made our mediocre offense look less than mediocre?
  13. The shoestring snaps have been an issue, I will agree to that.
  14. Take away those 3 touchdowns and UH isn't playing soft cover 2 man or 3 umbrella either. It can all be skewed one way or the other.
  15. I agree with you until you got to MF had one of his better games vs UH. His stats didn't start to compile until after the game was no longer in question...Much like vs SMU, Troy, etc. etc. SL keeps him in to stat monger and it typically works. MF did NOT have his best game vs UH...Maybe statistically, but that's it.
  16. I'm too lazy to look the numbers up, but his sacks and hurries are probably on par from previous seasons.
  17. Nah. This is wrong. There was probably a legit 28K at the UNT v. UH game. The student side, when butts were in seats was just about at capacity save for UH's upper level. The wing was about 7/8's full. There's a pic of the wing at its fullest from the scrappy statue that's floating around this very board. There were pockets of empty seats on the home side, but just pockets. And, of course, not every single ticket buying fan is sitting in their seat all at the same time has to be accounted for. As for SMU, it's common knowledge that they grossly inflate their attendance figures. As for the topic thread question...No, they will not win out. They have 4 losable games on their schedule, so I would expect a split at best or maybe even 1-3.
  18. 63% career passer with over 10K yards has time to throw the ball. That's just a bunch of BS. The UNT line is not great, but they are good enough to give him time to throw a football. He has missed his target 3 fold more than he has been sacked this year. And as far as him getting hit, it's football. This version of MF is more similar to freshman MF than it is SO. & JR. Mason Fine. We can like the guy all the same and commend him for his accomplishments while we're at it. But when it needs to be pointed out that he's playing poorly, then it is what it is.
  19. Well.............................It was facilities. But our poor conference was and still is holding us back more so. It sucks.
  20. You could also throw Lane Kiffin in there as someone, as far as blind resumes are concerned, a sane person would pick over Seth Littrell's resume... 19-12 Overall 12-5 in Conference + 1 bowl trophy + 1 conference championship. There are 4 coaches in this conference, per their results, who have performed better than Seth Littrell has. Yet, somehow, SL I believe is the highest paid of them all.
  21. This is a good post to sort of see where we stand as a program and where SL stands as a coach. I know for fact who 4 and 2 are. Not sure as to who 1 and 3 are without looking it up. So, with that... Give me #4 based on most wins, overall and in conference, as well as a bowl champ trophy + conference champ trophy. Next, I'll take #3 based on most wins, overall and in conference, and 3 bowl trophies. Next, #1 based 3rd highest overall winning percentage, and a bowl champ trophy. Last, #4 based on the worst winning percentage overall, and 0-fer in bowls. And here we are, like dopes, throwing money at people who have brought us not much of nothing.
  22. No, I understand your take. It's valid. But I don't take a lot of stock in winning CUSA. It's irrelevant. Would it be nice, sure. But don't expect a jubilant fan base ready to bust at the seams next year going into 2020 if we happen to win CUSA. WKU was really, really good for 2-4 years not that long ago. What did that do for them? What national perception did they gain? Rice won it in 2013, RICE. What's goin' on with them nowadays? There is no upside to winning this conference. And that's because no one cares about this conference and the teams therein.
