  1. Guys...guys...We have twenty 3 star WRs and safeties coming into the program. Have faith.
  2. Who is to say we even get to .500 next season when we may not even get to it this season. You're assuming quite a bit.
  3. Losing lot of OL and DL with no one to really step in and improve that play. Defense will be more experienced and there is nowhere to really go but up, but again if the scheme/philosophy doesn't change expect more of the same with a slight improvement. It only makes sense for the offense to actually see a drop off with an all conference caliber quarterback departing. The downward trend is kind of there staring at us. But, hey, I like to be optimistic at times too.
  4. The easy and rational answer to this is, no. But we are not currently trending upward. And next season has downward trend written all over it. Nonetheless, I still think we obviously hang on to SL. If next season is bad as I think it is, his ass should be walked to the ledge for the 2021 season and spartan kicked off pending results.
  5. Definitely. It's a success. But considering who we lost to, the way we had to win some of those games vs ugly teams, and then the almost certainty of losing to quality opponents, it all sort of just leaves a bad taste.
  6. Yeah. But those 9-win seasons were against garbage. And when I say garbage, I mean a down year for what is standard garbage CUSA. It was garbage compiled on top of garbage. Very few "quality" wins to be found in there. We just happened to be the tallest midget in the room 9 times x 2.
  7. ACC v CUSA argument doesn't really hold weight. Both teams are playing peer programs and the results are what they are.
  8. FSU - 120th in sacks allowed at 37. UNT - 37th in sacks allowed at 16. This ^^^^^^ has turned into a theme in Tallahassee. He would be running for his life there as well.
  9. Dangling carrots. They don't even have a freaking HC. That whole staff very well may be wiped clean, as well as the current commits.
  10. What's another 100k each to save us from those miserable bowl efforts. As for expectations, this was posted by one of our very own within the hour...This is where the line is drawn. But, hey, at least a damn enough is given to draw a line. More than what 99.7% of our other alum has done...paid attention. I will support SL unless we lose to Portland St. in embarrassingly miserable fashion. Go Mean Green
  11. Yeah. Is what it is at this point. I almost hope we don't make a bowl. I saw that if we do we may get matched up with Temple. Oh the ass whipping that will be. It'll look like one of these 4 vs 1 HS playoff games coming around on Friday night.
  12. I'm right there with you. I didn't go to the UTEP game. And I am trying to bring myself to going to the season finale. But, I may not. W or L the value to go isn't there because SL butchered this season with a meat cleaver. It's been an absolute colossal failure. The kind that makes me want to turn into a true casual fan.
  13. Side note: Norvell lost his bowl games by 20, 1, and 3. *SL - 7, 20, and 39. #pRoGrEsS
  14. SMU's parking is hell on earth. If the DMN is going to bitch and moan about something, do it equally with the university right down the street from ya.
  15. Yeah, that's about it. You say "that's all", but we haven't even head that. It's been crickets.
  16. Arkansas plucking away Seth Littrell would be too good to happen. But, if he's coming up on a candidate list, look no further than Fat Jimmy trying to keep him name relevant. If you don't believe anything, believe in that...
  17. Well, you should. Their recruiting is sub-par. For SEC standards, it's been horrible until this last class by Morris. They have some talent, sure. But they aren't bringing in what you think they are. Last year, Morris brought 8 blue chip kids to Fayetteville, more than any other year since 247 has been accumulating statistics (2004?). And it's only 8. 3 or 4 teams in their very division bring in 20+ a year. Their best way to change, is a philosophical change. They can't play the brand of football they have been playing. Hiring Chad Morris was the right direction to implement this change, get them back down the Petrino road. But Chad Morris is incompetent and WE all knew it was a bad hire from the get go. But they need to stay pat on this road because of the fact that they CAN'T recruit up to standards to consistently compete with their peers. Never have been able to, never will be able to.
  18. Oh, there will be depth. We'll have an abundant amount of WR's and safeties. The recruiting things is being so over-hyped. It's a macro-look at conference ranking and star counts. We have no recruited well where it matters. And that will be exposed even more so moving forward into the future. Someone tell me who our starting 5 OL will be next year. Right when you do (if you got it figured out), I will post their offer sheets and you will see where we stand. Same for the starting DL rotation. It's a bleak reality we've decided to nestle ourselves into.
  19. No. I don't want evaluations. Just, a, "This season hasn't turned out the way we had all hoped. We will get it turned around." And it can come SL for all I care. Words of acknowledgement go a long way.
  20. Yup. Place is a dump. Imagine the potential at LaTexh if they had Apogee flopped right there on that plop of land. They'd be in serious business.
  21. No, man it's all good. But, typically, you know what I mean. Usually. Most often times. etc. And, no, I wasn't in Ruston. Wasn't about to drive 9 hour round trip for that mistake. Made that regret to ABQ back in December.
  22. Perfect fit for each other.
