  1. Perfect fit for each other.
  2. There will be, without a single doubt in my mind, another bad season next year. I will put us down at 4-8/3-9 next year and we can consider it a success to get to 6-6...In year 5. MF has won games that without him we may not have won. We will be worse next year on offense, to what is already a wildly inconsistent offense. Defense should see an uptick by route of default...Can't get much worse.
  3. No need to burn down the house. And, no, I don't follow TCU. I follow UNT. But the trajectory hasn't been really that good. It's been a lot of smoke and a maze of mirrors... Seth Littrell record vs what I perceive as good opponents and/or big games... 2016 - 2017 - 2018 - 2019 - Florida - L - 32-0 Iowa - L - 31-14 Arkansas - W - 44-17 Cal - L - 23-17 MTSU - L - 30-13 SoMiss - W - 43-28 LaTech - L - 29-27 UH - L - 46-25 Army - W - 35-18 FAU - L - 69-31 UAB - L - 29-21 SoMiss - L - 45-27 La Tech - L - 45-24 Army - W - 52-49 Utah St - L - 52-13 LaTech - L - 52-17 WKU - L - 45-7 FAU - L - 41-17 SMU - W - 46-23 SMU - L - 49-27 UTEP - L - 52-24 Troy - L - 50-30 SMU - L - 34-21 SMU - L - 54-32
  4. This season? If we're going to quantify worthy, I'd love to... Seth Littrell record vs what I perceive as good opponents and/or big games... 2016 - 2017 - 2018 - 2019 - Florida - L - 32-0 Iowa - L - 31-14 Arkansas - W - 44-17 Cal - L - 23-17 MTSU - L - 30-13 SoMiss - W - 43-28 LaTech - L - 29-27 UH - L - 46-25 Army - W - 35-18 FAU - L - 69-31 UAB - L - 29-21 SoMiss - L - 45-27 La Tech - L - 45-24 Army - W - 52-49 Utah St - L - 52-13 LaTech - L - 52-17 WKU - L - 45-7 FAU - L - 41-17 SMU - W - 46-23 SMU - L - 49-27 UTEP - L - 52-24 Troy - L - 50-30 SMU - L - 34-21 SMU - L - 54-32 Everyone else on the schedule over the 4 years SL has been here have either been downright horrible or FCS. And masked in this group are some ugly hidden losses. But in the "big" games or vs the quality opponents, SL has went 5-19.
  5. All true. Their campus looks like Camp Lejeune barracks that were built during WWII. Their attendance typically is horrible. Yet, people try to justify their fans that Ruston people care sooooo much about LaTech. It's just not true. They are a hole in the wall school with terrible facilities with a cool logo and color design.
  6. A poster on here was flaunting potentially paying the new DC in the ballpark of 500k. Not sure if there is truth to that, but if it is true UNT will have no issue getting a qualified badass DC in here.
  7. I will be there to see the seniors off. I support the players. I do not support the coaching staff until changes are made. I do not support the athletic administration until they start to communicate with their constituents outside of sunshine pumping time. We need an administration that is just as transparent during the down times as they are during the up times...And we know they're ready to toot any horn that looks shiny. So, now, communicate the discrepancies and their vow to correct them. Until then, meh.
  8. Typical. *And we wonder why our football following struggles. Wellllllll
  9. He's not, I'm afraid. Pretty easy to see. We have a young HC and a young AD. They both have the best job they've ever had with the highest salaries they've ever had. And they both want to schmooze and elbow rub people they think are important. It's all just meh at this point and the correction of this mess is nowhere in sight.
  10. 9 win seasons vs almost a list of nobodies. Get muffin thumped vs ANYONE worth the pot they piss in and you're, predictably, swinging around on his jockstrap. Next season, expect a whole lot of the same from this season. It's quite easy to see.
  11. We trash. That is all.
  12. This D was going to give up points. Didn't matter if it came in 90 snaps or just 60. Points were getting poured on.
  13. Go pour the rest of your beers down the sink. You're in timeout. *There is context to what I said in this thread. Close one eye when reading when sloppy, hear it helps.
  14. Yeah. But stat monger and stuff.
  15. No. But the sunshine pumpers will swoop in and try to add wisdom and stability. So, what's the point of getting overly upset? Get on the apathy train. I saved you a seat.
  16. We could triple his salary and his family would appreciate the upgrade geographically, I'm sure.
  17. They are terrible. Worst era of Arkansas football I can recall.
  18. Honoring your past? Or do you mean something such as, "Well, guys, we used to be really, really awful. But, now, we just suck. So, show a little gratitude, why dontcha. In the meantime, look at the vision." I don't know you lifer and I know each of our comments gets on each others nerves here and there, but if you meant anything remotely close to my sarcastic synopsis of your post, then it's the voice of a loser...Or let's face it, a UNT alum.
  19. That all may be well and dandy, but recruiting well to positional needs matters. Can't put WR's and safeties as a 3-tech and OT. . We are not setup to win on the LOS on either defense of offense moving forward into the future. And to be frank, there's no real timetable given the current roster and commit list, as to when we will win the LOS on either side of the ball. <---- And that is not my debbie downer comment of the week. But, realism, as Lifer said.
  20. Not for me. But as long as they win they could be running around in girdles and helmets for all I care.
  21. I have no idea. But I'm in the camp of putting the best available option on the field. Doesn't matter if it's in our current depth chart, transfer, grad student, JUCO, etc. It's irrelevant where the best option comes from to me. Find the absolute best option you think you can snag, and plug him in. Don't pull a Dan McCarney and think your QB room is "good enough."
  22. If we win, it's a shootout with the O finally hitting on all cylinders for a full game with a slim victory. If we lose, we will lose something very similar to SMU, UH, and USM. 40-something to 20-something.
