  1. Lol. By that I meant that he's a prototypical slot WR. Given the dynamic of Texas HS football, his production is replaceable.
  2. I would like the time to break down his pressers as you sort of have. I bet there is a lot of hidden insight as you suggest. The issue with the defense is that he's relying on lowly recruited kids to be difference makers. And eventually, at what point, are they just what they are; not very good. On offense, it's been an abomination of miscommunication, bad play calling, change of schematics and lingo, and a visual decline in quarterback play.
  3. On D, it's recruiting. Which is coaching.
  4. The same flaws in the first classes are still present in the current classes. Example, Jaleon Darden is a really good player, really good. But his skillset and contributions can be matched by other kids. He's a dime a dozen player that we have been landing more and more of, hence the climb on the recruiting ladder. Our defeciencies are still present and those have not really been addressed. We need better DL and OL. We need a dude on defense at ILB. Address these problems then the team will improve and do it any way necessary, grad transfers, transfers, JUCO is my recommendation because this staff can't recruit those positions out of HS. And don't give me that crap that these are hard positions to recruit. Though they may be, other G5 programs manage.
  5. THANK YOU!
  6. As I did the 45-7 and 52-24 off of the 2016 losses. So, there's that.
  7. You're never as good or as bad as your record indicates. That's fact. Yeah...we went 1-11. We were not good. That is clear. But we were not a 1-11 team in terms of talent. Most teams aren't, unless they're just absolutely awful. Some of 2015's losses... 31-13 38-24 30-13 24-0 20-17 Those just aren't awful losses, though losses nonetheless. These are games that can be turned around by a QB not named Andrew McNulty and Josh Greer. Some of the 2016 losses... 34-21 30-13 31-17 38-31 32-0 Very similar in point differential (though I could've documented blowout losses in both years), but we pulled away with 5 wins instead of 1. Those 5 teams had a combined losing record. What he did was plug in a QB and hope. Defensively we were just slightly better than the previous year, even in a 1-11 campaign. To call it some miracle is a stretch. A noted improvement, sure. Miracle, nah.
  8. Because it's a bogus resume bullet point for a fledgling HC that could've secured a bowl invite by beating a 3-win UTEP team. Instead, got his doors blown off by said 3-win team. That's why.
  9. Oh...He had done this in the past?
  10. Not to answer for him, but let's talk about UNT expectations. When in UNTs football history were expectations this high? Maybe 2 or 3 other times, if that? Now, look at the 4-8 results and the big game embarrassments to boot.
  11. 2. Two losing seasons. 2 of 4 to be fair and accurate.
  12. I think going defense first philosophy may not generate the desired results. But going full retard into the air raid philosophy has proven time and time again to diminsh the effectiveness of a defense. And we haven't even went full tilt air raid in play calling, but looking at our defensive statistics you wouldn't know any better. One thing is certain however, coaches from the air raid tree do not put a premium on defense or OL. OL in air raid systems/philosophies have slender, taller bodies for they are pass first players that are, given the system, asked to pass pro for 2 seconds or less. And defense is just out there because you can't be on offense twice. Points have to be scored. But defense also has to be played. I personally think, going by the evidence we have, Seth Littrell is in over his head.
  13. Bum. He should pay back 2/3 of this year's salary. He's a thief. We're paying almost half a million per win this year. Thanks, Wren.
  14. Well, then you just really have to mitigate through who has returning QBs and the successes those returning QBs have or have not had + who has traditionally good defenses and the predictability of our potential 2020 record starts to take shape.
  15. Not at all. I'd be comfortable putting money down on a 1-3 OOC start.
  16. I know, right? Lol
  17. I will not be going. Not worth my time or entertainment dollar. When UNT proves they are serious about football is when I'll make my next game. Might be a while. But I'm done with it for now.
  18. I know we will be having these same conversations this time next year. This year feels very much like 2014, teetering on disaster.
  19. Pay and expectations go hand in hand. Not sure what your angle is. Ever heard of the old cliche, you get what you pay for....except at UNT.
  20. Psh. Not our problem.
  21. One point eight. Yay us!!!
  22. This has been MF this season with some frequency.
  23. You're reasonable...Has SL lost the ability to lead this team? Or, ever truly even had the ability?
  24. Guys...guys...We have twenty 3 star WRs and safeties coming into the program. Have faith.
