  1. Every D1 university can snag 6 if not another player enters the portal.
  2. It's not 1 way... but our best players leave. And we haven't replaced them from p5 schools. Smart, drez, tp, etc were replaced by JUCO guys... Kai from D2.
  3. I'm not referencing Baker here, though he does fit the gold plan mold. It's a country wide issue.
  4. On him and then bolted. Amass mistakes and bolt, the typical athletic administrators gold plan. Yet, they keep getting rehired.
  5. Hmmm... not really. We are moving players upward as teams take from us upward. In this hypothetical scenario of buying out players, a JUCO can't dictate a buyout fee to us as much as we can dictate a buyout fee to SEC, Big12/10, etc. There is more risk for us taking the player out of JUCO/D2 than Kansas State taking a player from us. It would be a net gain for us and easily one.
  6. Sheeesh. When they transfer in they're __% more likely to transfer out. I don't know what ___ equals, but it's probably pretty high.
  7. The easy team to root for is obviously NC State. They are taking the path of their 1983 team led by Jimmy V. My rooring interest is with them. The favorite is clearly UCONN. Purdue has a punchers chance. Alabama: they'll have to hit 30+ combined 3s in Phoenix to cut down nets. They are a 3 ball team, so it's possibly, but unlikely.
  8. Yeah... this defense might end up being worse if Stone is leading our offense to countless touchdowns.
  9. I could sort of try and root for him at Tech. I would lose any and all respect if he goes to Memphis.
  10. Over. Comfortably. I'll go one further, 20 win season as well.
  11. You go get the best available.
  12. There are 1,840 starters in D1 college basketball. 2,944 bench players in D1 college basketball. X = players running out of eligibility. Y = HS players entering into D1 college basketball. It's a gigantic game of musical chairs.
  13. I'm not going to sneeze at 20/per. I'd like for him to stay. But I'd also like for him to not be the primary handler of the basketball, not be a volume shooter, and his defense has to step up. He has to want to defend with the same tenacity as he wants to shoot 20x/game. Then I'd 100% be all for his return.
  14. I feel similarlyish.
  15. I don't care who we do it with as long as we do it defensively minded.
  16. Agreed. The winningest player in our history isn't a testament to him, but the era in which he played at UNT. Outside of that team stat, what statistic does he have that makes his athletic resume pop? As far as shunning him due to transferring... no. He's been here for a good while, was loyal last year when he didn't have to be, and wants to test the waters his last year. I don't like it. I actually hate it. But I understand it. I think graduates of our university, in theory, should be hof eligible.
  17. Hairline? The foundation of collegiate athletics is crumbling.
  18. Lawyers going to take fans to court? The schools and/or the NCAA do not pay NIL bills.
  19. A class for settling? That's wild.
  20. We're 154-80 over the last 7 years. Not refuting your point. Just saying.
  21. Wait until school choice inevitably gets passed one day.
