  1. Not all paths are the same. Perhaps similar, but not the same.
  2. This is a bad take on this forum. Most are against the idea. I, for one, am for it. FSU wouldn't be where they are today without doing it. They recruited their way to relevance due to their ability to sell their schedule. Sure, it was brutal early. However, they started winning games because kids wanted the opportunity to, 1) stay close to home while 2) play a schedule filled with big time opponents (granted most were on the road) OR... We can't continue to chooooose the kiddie pool for what? A 300k conference payout a year via "TV money". Nah, I'm good. Give me the former.
  3. I'm not a fan of Littrell. Don't think I ever will be. Program is way too finesse for me. Outside of that, there's nothing to say worth saying. We won. That's a good thing. You imply as if people are actively rooting against UNT. Let's beat UTEP.
  4. When Bean can run it he's the better option. If we're going to roll with Bean then the offense has to be designed around his skill set. My concern with Bean, some teams will shut that down real quick. Then what? Aune is clearly the more talented passer. So, given that, they should both play. With Bean being the every 3rd series change of pace QB.
  5. If this is what we're going to be then let's be it. Good stuff
  6. Because Bean isn't very good either?
  7. You'd think. 🌞 pumper gonna pump though.
  8. I'm not a follower much things not football outside of the occasional basketball game. WB, under his leadership, is about to watch his hire/raise/extension bury this football program. And we're so small time WB doesn't even have to address what's unfolding.
  9. The AD takes the parameters of a new deal to said people. Not vice versa. They act in good faith to the athletic director. But you know all of this.
  10. He tied us to this. He did. No one else. And he has been silent. He knows there's nothing to be said. Football is king. And our football program needs rehab that it cannot afford because WB chose to agree to the lining of SL pockets.
  11. So, that is true. Then fire the one that put us in this predicament, WB. And demand the new AD to fire SL once he/she deems it affordable to do so. *Coaching salaries must be reworked across the board. All sports. University's are constantly being turned into welfare entities. Base salaries have to be low wage peanuts. Performance incentives must be the new standard for coaches earning their keep AND their money.
  12. Excuses will be made. It's why we're North Texas. My turning point with SL was pretty early... We were 5-6 and vying for legitimate bowl eligibility. ALL we had to do was go beat a very bad UTEP (I believe they were 3-8) team in the 2016 regular season finale. We lost. Not only did we lose, we got hammered by 4 or 5 tds. Completely unprepared to stop UTEPs 1-man show. It was SLs first meaningful game here at UNT. Since, I'm not sure he's won a "meaningful" game. If anything, his team's look unprepared and outmatched in most, if not all.
  13. To your question, yes.
  14. No, they wouldn't. They aren't going to quit and walk away from truck loads of money.
  15. Ohhhh the posts you're worried about? Not, like, the constant blowout losses to crappy and unheard of schools?
  16. That's what happens when so many recruits we offer and sign have legitimately offers from FCS programs only. We need to get serious or drop down and stay down forever.
