  1. Age changes people, their belly in their fire/thirst for success. With his career aging, and with the ever-changing college football landscape I would not need to know, but have to know is he capable or even willing to keep that fire lit to make UNT great? Or has it dimmed? He can meat sweat all down his shirt every game. That doesn't answer my question.
  2. Yes/no. I'd have questions. But he should definitely be considered.
  3. A-State. Yes, they're on a down year, but who has changed more at the G5 level and sustained? Boise, I guess. That's it. I just think we'll see them really catapult. We like our new home, and as do I, but we need to examine ourselves while looking at our travel brethren from the old CUSA.
  4. I recall being on the receiving end of some bowl beatdowns delivered to us by a couple belt squads. It's fairly reasonable to state the belt has been better than CUSA for maybe 5 years? So, did the AAC get stronger with their new 6 additions than the Belt and their newest additions?
  5. I won't argue with that. Pac12 has been doodoo top to bottom for some time.
  6. Go top 3, middle 3, bottom 3. Pair them up, who wins? And if Memphis and SMU exits stage left somehow then I'm not even sure it's a debate.
  7. ...very well might end up being the strongest "G5" conference. Go examine their current status, teams entering into that league, as well as the positive trajectory of that group. I'll hang up and listen.
  8. I'm not sure three 4-win seasons in a row in today's coaching climate would keep anyone anywhere for another year. Yet, at UNT, it's never easy to tell.
  9. Anytime SMU loses it's an incredible finish.
  10. I mean, what about the other 5 schools' athletic directors that were also invited to the AAC? Most of them have had more present and current success than UNT.
  11. Well would you look at that, a tied ball game.
  12. He's right though. Be competitive and people come. When we had momentum going the home Army game was great. Even the flame out game vs latech was great. There is a demand for UNT football to be good. People are just waiting on the supply.
  13. I like UNT. Always have. North Texas is a region of Texas and UNT is the flagship university of said region.
  14. No chance he's back. None. I have faith in Wren Baker to right a very glaring wrong. This will not be a Tony Benford 2.0 scenario. Some say we can't afford to change. I say we can't afford to not change. We are already struggling for 1/3 attendance. Finish this year up and bring this staff back we will struggle to fill 1/4, maybe a 1/5.
  15. I think you may be beating yourself up a little bit. It clearly takes winning to spark interest. It doesn't have to be undefeated seasons either. Just win more than you lose and be competitive in losses regardless of who we're playing. That will garner attention and get butts back into apogee. Can't have 3 year runs of losing seasons like we're currently in. That runs people off. Refuse to make changes then you lose more people, and the people that choose to hang around are apathetic. Win, be competitive.
  16. #2 is ultimately the downfall. All in the name of inclusitivity. Shame.
  17. Not have to go through illegal back channel hacking methods on the internet to watch our games in white noise picture.
  18. Aresco is a breath of fresh air in comparison to Judy. The contrast is ridiculous to be honest.
  19. My guess would be Tulane.
  20. Sunbelt might be onto getting good.
  21. I get it. But the change that must happen doesn't need to be assumed and slept on. Rest your pitchfork, but remember where you sit it down.
