  1. Right or wrong, I was just pointing out that this particular rant wasn't a subliminal message to his team like some of his are. This specific drivel was because he's mad at people because people are mad at him. He thinks he's an untouchable authority to the point of communicating to people, often right to their faces, however he pleases. He's created this monster of ungodly expectations, living up to them yoy is difficult.
  2. Wrong. He is disgusted at the media and the bama fan base because they're not satisfied with the 1-loss season combined with the 4 or 5 one score games. He's feeling heat that he believes he shouldn't be feeling and it passes him off.
  3. Typical Saban behaving like a poor 4 year old at a candy store when he takes a little heat.
  4. Pound the rock. Good high % PA off of said pounding. Make their offense work by not allowing huge plays. Do that and live with the results.
  5. Yes, somewhere in the middle. However, his conclusatory paragraph will more than likely still hold true... Allow me to bold... "UNT ends up back in the market to look for a coach who can pick up the pieces for what suddenly looks like a long rebuild after a third straight losing season." Therein lies the problem. Fairy dust, away!
  6. Ok.
  7. A top15 recruiting class in the nation for an SEC school means there are 6-8 in-conference competitors recruiting better than you. At UF, that can't happen. It's harder to fathom when Kirby at uga is a cruitin' machine and that didn't help Mullens case. He also sabotaged the QB position out of loyalty this year and the record passing QB that Florida had last year, he wouldn't have had unless Felipe Frank's didn't break his leg. His eye for talent within the depths of his own roster was not present at UF. He let his DC stay when everyone wanted him gone. After bad losses in post game pressers he would ignorantly flaunt the "win" in yardage. His relationships with current players was shaky. He was not a recruiting closer like an SEC coach has to be. It was never Dan Mullens fault for anything. It was always some other variable causing the distrust, losses, general lack of success. There's more to it than UF thinking UF is something that they are not.
  8. Lol. Very nice
  9. Yes, because we have won here with SL like the aforementioned coaches won at the respective programs named. Going under .500 is not good enough. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT THE PREVIOUS COACHES DID.
  10. Mullen is a bit of a quirky moron. He's also oblivious to recruiting. He thinks his 3-star running back coached by him is better than your 5-star. Still probably a slam dunk hire. The likely scenario is him getting swooped up by a middling "P5".
  11. You're beaten and weathered. Many here are. So three straight losing seasons will still have people here defending it. BDS = beaten dog syndrome. A very, very North Texas mentality. Carry on.
  12. Nothing of note took place under either coach. Big picture, they're the same.
  13. Seth has a losing record here. A losing record is a losing record, to me..doesn't matter if it's .499 or .300. He has also brought 0 pieces of hardware. The replacement can't do worse.
  14. That's hearsay. I've seen worse teams beat better and I'm sure you have too.
  15. lol. He and a few others have tried to make that argument. It's baffling. It's illogical. It has to ground to stand on. More money = more results. If we wanted crappy results then we would have crappy salaries. The forever old saying, 'You get what you pay for'. Except for UNT football in its current state, we aren't. That's the problem.
  16. We mean everything. Power in numbers.
  17. Transfers are more game ready than high schoolers. And we need some areas shored up. Go HS for depth and development. Go Transfers where they're needed for right now.
  18. I haven't been a fan of SL for running years. He killed it for me in El Paso some years ago with real bowl eligibility on the line and I saw an absolute egg laid vs a pretty bad UTEP team.. With that said, if he's been able to garner the attention of the team and end the year on a 6 game winning streak with a bowl championship then he has earned the right to another year. Anything short of that he needs to go asap.
  19. Did Fuente effectively use the transfer portal? If not, then nah. If SL is able to stay then I recommend him start getting impact players in here via the portal or his extended stay will be a brief one.
