  1. This would, over time, create parity throughout the sport. So, therefore, it will never be allowed by the big walleted and the puppeted strung politicians. It's shameful that something so simple and reasonable will never be allowed by what is relatively a small group of people.
  2. I disagree. Consistency is far more important than a flash in the pan of a single bowl win or a single time of getting to the conference champ game. SL has provided consistency. We are consistently 500. I appreciate that all things considered. Now, consistently competing for conference championship appearances and starting to win the lowered tiered bowls we are typically in is the next step. I think being a top 4 conference team and WINNING the bowl game has to be the line in the sand for this year. Bowl games can always be evaluated year by year, but we have not played in a bowl game under SL that was vs a superpower. Though some of the final scores would suggest otherwise. As I've previously stated, SL has flaws, but he's slowly making our ship rise. The bar or standard set now needs to be elevated. If he can do that, then he has earned more time. In a sport of practically no longevity, I think it provides a sense of program stability when you have that longevity. Maybe I'm being too optimistic.
  3. No. Competing for conference championship appearances/trophies and bowl trophies is the measuring stick. Not wins that do not matter in the grand scheme of things. We beat the lips off of a June Jones led SMU team and it moved the needle none. It'd be fun. I'd enjoy it. But it doesn't bar any weight in getting to a champ game or winning a bowl game.
  4. I think that score or a very similar score vs them has transpired a few times. So, I'll roll with that as well. 45-24.
  5. I'm interested in seeing how they perform at UCLA. Will they temper their ignorant playing because they know a guy with similar or even better talent can replace them in a moment's notice or will it be more of the same. Or shoot, will they both even be starters?
  6. rip. Sorry for the loss of your buddy.
  7. 25k. Also, look, we don't like Seth Littrells personality, or at least many people do not. But what he has done, turn a historically bad football program into a respectable/mediocre football program deserves some merit. No, he has not put us where we want to be. We want conference championships and bowl trophies. But he has stabilized an otherwise really bad program. He has created consistency and has put us in position to compete for more bowls (yes, I know the bowl system is different now) than any other coach (I believe) in UNT's history. I still think he mumbles too much. I still think he's a walking cliche. I don't like his personality or his body language. But he's getting us talked about beyond Thanksgiving almost every year. And, yes, I expect more. We'll see. He's 1-0. Let's support it.
  8. I can get behind 250 yards and 0 turnovers.
  9. A W is a W. I expect to always beat UTEP. So, I'm not going to get giddy by any means. I love our run game. I hate our secondary. Next game up.
  10. I think the audio speaks volumes without the need to see his passive body language and uncaring facial expressions. I mean, just close your eyes and imagine a sound bite of his. Uninspiring is the only word I can gather.
  11. I prefer the side shave with pink streaks on the pony tail and 50 pounds over weight talking, "I don't need a man." As if.
  12. I'll take my Arkansas brethren, Oscar Adaway III. Kid will be special if he has his legs back.
  13. I understand. Point still stands. Keeping up, especially if a players union is formed, will be impossible for most.
