  1. I'm not hyping up any game. Not to be too lady like, but using transitive properties, SMU plays exceptionally well vs UNT most years.
  2. But they have always been out recruiting us. I'm sure it makes a smidgen of difference, but those same P5 rejects were going to fall to them or a program like them anyway. Face value, sure. But they'll struggle and/or get beat by X, Y and Z teams as usual.
  3. I am not buying that we can't compete with SMU. They view us as a must win and we piss down our leg every year we play them. Last year they lost to Tulsa, UH, Memphis and got obliterated by a good Cincy team. They beat LaTech by a couple points. Year before: The week before SMU played us they beat TXST by a TD then turned around and dropped 65 on us. Let Navy hang around (and Navy hadn't been very good lately). Lost to both Tulsa (again) and ECU. 2019: Yeah, they won 10 games. Smoked us, of course. Eked out a W vs Arkansas State. Barely beat Tulsa. Barely beat ECU. Lost to Navy. Spanked by FAU. 2018: Beat us by almost 4 TD's and turned around and lost 7 games. I could go on and on. They are not that good. They (their coaching staffs over the years) clearly hype up this game to their players. They play hard and fast vs us and they view us as a can't lose, as stated. Also as stated, we fill up our cleats with urine. I'm just not buying it.
  4. Good for him and good for the athletic department.
  5. Yes, because Seth freaking Littrell = Tom Landry.
  6. Only thing the guy was saying is 6 yards per attempt is dog shit regardless of who you're comparing it to. And, he's right, it is.
  7. Money, football money, needs to be poured into that basketball program immediately. We are wasting so many resources over in that football stadium. I really appreciate what GM has done, but I feel like he's coaching his butt off and squeezing every ounce of talent out of his players. It just feels like a 0 margin for error style of basketball and I have this feeling it could easily faulter.
  8. Our HUGE problem vs SMU since Littrell has been here is the big play vs our defense. Every year there is seemingly 2 or 3 1-2 play drives that breaks the game wide open. Now, granted, 10 points won't and shouldn't ever win you a game. But our inability to bottle up and then rally to their playmakers is our main issue.
  9. This is very well put. They (administratiors) big time in a tiny pond. I got that feeling very quick when I came to UNT when RV was leading the show. That same feeling came back when WB gave himself multiple titles and then immediately stsrted insulating himself with large salaried employees.
  10. I'd definitely use my 1 time machine opportunity to grab 3 or 20 lucky power ball numbers. But that's me.
  11. And you're right. But he will, if he hasn't already. It'll circle around bad fan support, lack of community support, minimal donors/fan interaction, etc. 80% of communication is non-verbal. His demeanor tells us a lot.
  12. He won't say it aloud. His demeanor most certainly indicate he will communicate this to his coaching circle buddies.
  13. I'm sorry, I'm not going to hold D2 and FCS transfers accountable. I'm not going to hold other players accountable for being on our field with Missouri State, us and SHSU offers. I hope they're enjoying their time here and the experiences they are gaining. That's all I have to say to them. That's my accountability barometer to many of our players
  14. That flag must be taken down and burnt. Discontinue the manufacturing of immediately. Wth are we doing?
  15. I wonder if an apology and vow to correct these simple blunders will be issued? I'll hold my breath...
  16. Coverages have to change throughout the game or at the bare minimum presnap alignments have to change regardless of coverage. We are a 3 and 4 team. We often don't show anything different unless we're defending RZ or GL. Our alignment 100% dictates our coverage. If our corners are so bad, which it appears at times they are then quarters is the safe bet, it's the check in the box coverage. But I'm a big fan of 2 under umbrella being mixed in especially when you have bad corners who can't cover with consistency vs a passing team. If you like and trust gaddie then cover 6 to him is good too. But we are very vanilla in our coverages and good qbs aren't idiots, they're usually the opposite.
  17. No we don't. But my guess is they're a bottom 1/3 MWC team. An average football team would go 8-4 with our schedule. The bare minimum to accept is 7-5 WITH a bowl win. Anything less, we have to cut bait.
  18. My exact feelings. But I do want to see this season play out. I think we can get to 7 wins. Then, IMO, the bowl game becomes make or break. I'll stop thinking about reaching for the pitchfork if we go 8-5 with hardware.
  19. If we're 4-2 heading into the LaTech game I will be there. I will be at homecoming the following week regardless of record.
  20. No. You gotta recruit your ass off to solidify the most important position in all of sports.
  21. I quit reading right when you said we can give the defense and DC a pass. We can never just get in the business of handing out passes. My goodness, we weren't playing in Tuscaloosa. We were playing at home vs a team patched together vs a 1st year HC. Also, the reason for your pass? The offense SMU runs is the same they ran last year and the 2 years before that.
  22. In your mind I'm sure you think yall are recruiting against Tech, TCU and Okie State. Meanwhile, yall will lose to UH, Menphis, UCF, the usual Then, of course, a typical egg lay vs a Tulsa/Navy/Tulane type.
  23. Do we have white women on campus? If so, baby briles is our guy! On a serious note, I'd take GH in a heartbeat.
