I love UNT. I root for UNT. I think UNT could be great. But I also think UNT is an athletic scam. I think there is rarely (Cobbs and I'm sure others) anyone (coaches or administrators) associated with the football program that really gives a damn about the University of North Texas and its athletic programs. Too much money is made for the results we are served up. We (the administration) refers to us as a value university (which I don't like), but where the hell is our value in athletics, especially considering the money invested and the money paid out? The ROI is minimal. But, yet, people are making very good money off of our "value" university.

And correct me if I'm wrong, but the HC over there makes 425k. Talk about culture and value. That's big time. Coaches clearly go there to WIN. Not to fleece the constituents and try to double down on contract extensions and raises, but to WIN.

Does the AD not have mock games several weeks leading into the home opener and then sporadic spot checks throughout the season each week? I mean, on a serious note, wth else do they have to do? It's, with little debate, the most important part of their in-season job(s).

Right when the alignment info dropped I started saying that immediately. There are football serious schools with serious administrations and fans littered in that conference. If I'm ULM I'm white-knuckling and doing whatever it takes to hang on. Same for a few others, but especially them.

No one is hiding under any skirts. I pointed your first little paragraph out in this topic discussion. We get mauled by SMU. SMU then proceeds to get into bare knuckled fist fights with other teams that are very similar to us in talent and the perceptual pecking order. I think playing SMU is good for both brands if our brand could ever rise to the occasion and be competitive. We haven't been, at all. So, this series has been way more advantageous for them. Now, we have to play them in conference every year. Yay us.

Then yall should probably stop losing to the Tulsas, ECUs and Navys of the world. And better start stomping the Texas States, Astates of the world. You guys stuff us into our locker and make us like it every year. And squeek by or lose to the aforementioned, every year.

He's into something, maybe. But that won't be a strong conference. Marginally better than the current AAC, and that might be a reach. That is the absolute bottom dwellers of the PAC. If they played a proper home/home schedule vs a G5 schedule I'm not sure their record would drasticslly improve in comparison to their normal PAC records, even if at all.
