...In the past I and others have pointed out how hush the athletic department and director is when things are going poorly. The apologists usually rebuttal with the notion of that being unprofessional. So, I've been purposefully paying attention to other struggling programs. They almost ALL send out formal Twitter releases asking for continued support and/or vowing to see improvement through. I'm too lazy to go grab all the Twitter links to post, but go ser for yourself. Yet, here we are, 3+ years of incompetent football and....crickets.

I wouldn't be mad at this.

When bags go on people's heads (AT SPORTING EVENTS) it's a foregone conclusion what's being advocated for. Granted I won't be doing this because I simply won't be going.

PSU was a scrappy little FCS squad and our team gave up well before kickoff, maybe days before. I'm not sure the reasoning for keeping SL on board. Herm gone at ASU, Frost gone at Nebraska, reading that Brown at WVU and Harsin at AU are both a loss away from being asked to leave. Administrators all across the country understand the benefit on making a change, getting ahead of the game and trying to give the next guy as much possible time to start righting the ship...except at UNT. I don't get it at this point.

You're pretty accurate, imo. I would personally add DL to your list. But secondary and LB is definitely not up to par...at all. Obviously QB is a concern. But, like you, I think Gunnel needs to a fair shake. But that doesn't mean the new guy can't afford to go get a guy.

It's not his problem. So, he won't. Coaches are notrious, when leaving in poor terms, for doing what they can NOT to benefit the program. Don't expect anything different. Which again, that's why cutting bait is important.

That 1 loss is whatever vs a whoever. We have gotten our teeth kicked in countless times under SL. And the ass whippins will continue until he is gone. We beat very bad football teams. We compete with very below average football teams. We get the everloving shit beat out of us by the slightest of competentence. Good teams? No point even watching. Just ask for mercy.

UNLV is to the MWC what FIU is to CUSA and they boatraced us out of town. If they wanted, 70 could've been on that scoreboard. For crying out loud, UNLV went 2-10 last year. We. Are. Awful.

All of the above. It's coaching, execution and lack of effective recruiting. In many of our players cases, I don't even fault them.

Who tf asked you to take it off? They can't do that and they can't ask you to leave for not complying. Though I know you left on your own accord. This just highlights this small time country club athletic department that UNT is entrenched in. BS

Side note: How difficult would it be for athletic directors and and departments across the country to start making these asshats at will employees. I bet real hunger picks back up, energy, emotion, etc. Ed Oregeron was sitting in on an interview with some 2nd rate interviewer a weem ago or so and they were making fun of the contractual realties of CFB and how he was pleased to go and take his money bag on the way out.

Outside of the 2015 football season, we are currently, as it sits today, in no better shape than we were before SL arrived on campus. I only state this due to your bending over backwards post to smear lipstick all over this pig. SL is a bad football coach. There is no other way to state the obvious.

I don't have anything substantial to even try to change your mind except 1 thing... Maybe, just maybe, one program will suck more than us? 2, if we're lucky?

Are you really that surprised? A DC that doesn't lift a finger to recruit is struggling to field a quality defense. Who knew.
