  1. Sure, it matters. But don't tell me that X coach is going to be a succes because Y coach was successful. All things equal, personality = recruiting. Recruiting = winning. That is the number 1 criteria to being a successful football coach in today's climate. And don't come at me about SL has recruited well. That is only a sliver of truth. A successful coach will be able to retain his top talent from top classes or go replace departing talent with equal or greater talent while still recruiting his tail off. Seth Litrell does not come off as being a personable person. Therefore, he will never be a good to great head coach or top coordinator closing on recruits. Bottom line, go get a recruiter (that can get quality coordinators that can also recruit) and I don't give a damn what his (their) path was.
  2. UH, SMU, Utah State and like schools kangaroo punch us in our throat every time we play, but somehow other schools compete and/or beat those similar programs. I don't get it. Our only 'yay us' win that comes to mind with SL was the win over a really bad Chad Morris coached Arkansas team and the Army home game we won by a fg. The other "statement games", if you will, are just awful showings over and over and over...
  3. The real life photos will look like 6-8k. They'll announce 16,xxx. But we know they're lying.
  4. How about a juco player that coached for a NAIA championship? Or a high school player that coached for a juco championship? What are we doing here. The path they take is trivial. Knowledge and ability to recruit is important far greater.
  5. I thought we were a value university? Seems too expensive.
  6. He did respond. He said he doesn't give a damn about Brett Vito's job security. He cares about appropriate questions being asked at the appropriate time whether it is good or bad. The job of a journalist is not to HELP sugar coat mediocrity, but to establish a platform (which Brett has done) and to ask in-the-moment questions pertaining to the current event or state of what he covers (Which Brett sort of does when it's convenient to his job security; <---which in lies the point of yalls bickering). And they are not going to dismiss the local newspapers only sports writer that covers UNT regardless of the questions asked. The athletic department would fall under more fire. However, they just might not be as friendly or forthcoming. But, at this point, who cares? I guess Brett does, because of the whole job security thing. Brett would get more clicks if he started throwing zings and zangs rather than friendly questions.
  7. The irony of someone calling it petty.
  8. Haha he's that giraffe gif.
  9. I don't know. But somebody does given all his raises and him being a top 20 paid athletic director in the country. Gaaaaahhhleeeee we are duuuuummmmbbbbbbb.
  10. Simps simp.
  11. No. No, we don't. We just don't lose as bad in the stat sheet which CLEARLY SETH LITTRELL CARES DEEPLY ABOUT!!!
  12. Yeah. Vs 3rd stringers and walkons because REAL COACHES CARE ABOUT BUILDING A PROGRAM.
  13. Oh man, this offense, Seth Litrells baby, is absolutely awful.
  14. So, I want to be clear, players that have proven to be non-factors at this point in the season won't be playing?
  15. Not preparing that roster for MFs swan song was firable within and of itself. That was year 4. Basically ALL of SLs players on board and the staff laid a giant egg. That should've been the "oh shit, we better start looking around" moment for the athletic department. But, yet, we riding that contract out 3 years later. I'm not sure who said it, but Seth Littrell owes a great deal of his 10+ million he's been able to fleece the Lovela...I mean...Wren Ba...I mean...Neal Sma...I mean the University of North Texas to Mason Fine and Graham Harrell.
  16. Maybe he catches 90 for 1500 and 25 touchdowns with MF, that specific season. That's all I'm saying. MF was the type player that elevated the people around him, whether they were subpar, good or great.
  17. MF elevated their play is all I'm saying. Of course being able to land those players was a big deal. But I think if we insert MF into our current roster all of our current players play elevates.
  18. Without MF they are decent players. With MF they are dang good players.
