From the little I've seen he looks like a fiery guy. Screaming and getting in guys faces might work early but after awhile you start to tune him out. Maybe part of the reason why his teams struggle in the second half of the season. Still taking the dumpster fire of a team to being mediocre deserves at least a C+.

Being a whippersnapper I googled the Blakely era and there was a run of 20 win seasons and UNT was even ranked top 20. If that were to happen again the pit would be rocking.

Really can't compare attendance now to the 70's and 80's.

Thursdays are college nights at bars and clubs. Very few students have Friday classes so the weekend starts Thursdays. Movie's come out on Thursdays now. Students who don't care about basketball need a lot of motivation to go. Like me throughout school I worked and had to pull strings to get off for games. So yes it will take more then just advertising to get students to come see them play.

Get to the NCAA tournament to get it back to what it was during the height of JJ. Win games in the tournament to be on the same level of MTSU. Be consistently good every year with top 25 wins sprinkled in to be like WKU.

Mason Fine is the best Quarterback I have seen at UNT. He was the best in C-USA last year. I hate injury talk. If any team's 1st team QB goes down their back up will be a downgrade.

Or he is going to worry about who is recruiting him and not get eligible for D-1.

The defense needs all the help they can get.

This when we complain we don't have a D-1 qb on the roster. Having an all conference qb is no fun!

C-USA needs to build with Bein Sports and work on home attendance. ESPN acts like CUSA doesn't exist. Makes the MAC and sun belt play terrible weekday games. Pac 12 after dark is a bust.

The games I've watched we are better than we have been the last 5 years combined.
