Arkansas lost by 2 touchdowns to Vanderbilt today... They just arent that good, and neither are we from what I'm watching today. We'll be lucky to beat UTSA at this rate.

Well... Rice is about to score so there's that. π

Hey man his repeated questionable play calling is just an anomaly! Remember how well we did in CUSA last year!? *places head back in sand*

Donβt You Dare Feel Sorry For Rice!

I've been reading this thread thinking this same exact thing this year... I was in El Paso, it wasn't pretty. Glad everyone is so grossly confident. And if we are up 21 to anything at half this game I'm going to assume that is the cursed score to be up by at half and that we're losing just like LA Tech and UAB. -
My barber's, dentist's, cobbler's, mechanic's, pool guy said Littrell's wife is friends on Myspace with a real estate agent in Kansas. Might as well go ahead and promote Graham to HC...

Is 8 Wins/Year Littrell's Ceiling Here?

I'm saying we have the highest paid coach in CUSA by half a million. We have improved the program in 3 seasons, but will have technically regressed from the previous year this year. And its questionable if the AD and Board of Regents pays him this much out of skill or out overwhelming fear of losing him. The rubber will hit the road this year if we give him another $100k raise and a pat on the back or if we keep him at his current salary... which is the right thing to do baring some miracle where everyone in the West loses to everyone and as a result we somehow win still win CUSA West, the following CUSA Championship Game, and our bowl game. I don't think the guy should get a nickel more next year. Don't care if TTech, Kansas, and every other school makes him an offer. Otherwise we're the battered party who always gives more ($$$$) than we get (wins, Championships, bowl games), while the other party waits for something better (P5 job) and gets a new lake house and Mercedes in the short term. It's clear the playcalling isn't working and his OC and DC are questionable in their ability to execute. But I'm sure the popular consensus is we'll need ONE MORE season and ONE MORE recruiting class to find out... Which is what we said last year. Littrell will impress me if we takes back the play calling and possibly replaces both coordinators.

Would you trade the Arkansas and SMU wins for...

Would definitely rather have the two in conference than the two OOC. π€·πΌββοΈ -
The first thing I said to the folks I was with in Birmingham last night at the half was: "This feels familiar."

I thought this would another thread about explicit advertisements on GMG...

Shh... People on GMG don't like the pay being called out. I'm like 10+ down votes and counting on a comment in another thread about it. In other news, I want to work for some of the folks on this board. You can be the 3rd best of your peers, be the highest paid of a group of 10+ by $500k+, make double what the 2nd best employee makes, and people will still potentially want to pay you more... even after you've had 36 months or more on the job. Not at all saying fire the guy... But we pay A LOT. It's not unreasonable to expect the moon and call out the investment. Nothing wrong with being #fiscallyawaredenton. πΈπΈπΈ

Fair comments... Im an okay guy to work for most of the time. π He has earned at least a $1m of that salary just from rebuilding the trainwreck of a team he inherited. Maybe he earns a little bit more of that extra $425k over $1m we're paying him just because we like winning, we're a little insecure at heart, and we can't imagine not having 9 win seasons. But the amount of people out there who would advocate to pay him up to $2m just to get to the Heart of Dallas bowl and not a Conference Championship is shocking. Not to say WB and GBR won't figure out a way to get that payroll up even more... But you better believe they're gonna soak the season ticket holders to do it, and then tell us how we should be thanking them for the YOY season ticket price increase of 10 or 15 percent.

Everyone, G Brent Ryan included, should stop bragging about how much we pay Littrell ($1.425m) after tonight. I wish I could just do so-so at my job and outpace every one of my peers in salary. Littrell makes double Holtz at LaTech, and half a million more than Clark at UAB.

Feel a bit like this. I also flew to Boca last year for the massacre... and have spent lots following them for many road games this year. It's definitely a lot more fun when we win... but i wouldn't call good money after bad. I'll probably still spend the cash on a UTSA trip at Thanksgiving.

Baylor got wind of the scantily clad woman's derriere that was regularly displayed as an advertisement last season on GMG and wanted to get in on the action. πππ

They tried like hell to scan mine at 11:30 and I was the only car in line at the N Texas Blvd entrance. The rain was just beginning to slow but it was still raining. I enjoyed having to sit there for 5 minutes having both attendants attempt to scan the pass with my windows down while it rained inside of my car. As the second car pulled up behind me they just told me to go ahead.
