Littrell banking up on bonuses
Pavlovs Eagle replied to meangreenfaninno's topic in Mean Green Football
@Cr1028 through much research has proved his point and made my opinion look foolish. 🤷♂️ Let me know how long coaches like Saban stay at Alabama with 6 and 7 win seasons. And Chip Kelly performed this year but still managed to miss the Pac12 Championship game. UCLA Athletics is too broke to do anything this year. But the Chip Kelly contract was recently restructured to make it much cheaper to fire him after a bad season. Once DTR is gone after this season he might be promoted to the unemployment office. -

2022 CUSA Championship vs. UTSA - FRIDAY 12/2/2022

Friday championship games suck. We'll probably be watching it on TV instead of being there. -
Littrell banking up on bonuses

Its amazing that 7 wins gets you a bonus. I'd guess there's not too many P5 teams that would celebrate and bonus you for 7 wins. We are not serious about football, this is another example.- 44 replies

Some say he's "Like a son" to all of us fans. Another teflon member of the Athletic Dept that we must pay $750k a year till HE IS READY to leave.

I seem to remember their marching band being 15 people last time I was at a Rice game in Houston. They couldn't fill a normal sized tour bus.

CUSA Championship is on a Friday?
Pavlovs Eagle replied to Pavlovs Eagle's topic in Mean Green Football
Glad there will be 10k TV's watching (9k of those in bars across America) on Friday night with an in-person UNT attendance of 25 at the Alamodome vs 5k TV's watching (4800 of those in bars across America) on Saturday with an in person UNT fan attendance of a few hundred. I wonder if the band will even be able to go with it being on Friday. I really think people are going to be unhappy when they see how poor our attendance will be for all of our upcoming non-Saturday games next year. As much as I enjoy watching other conferences play on weeknights, there's a reason the camera crews do their utmost to never show the stands. -
CUSA Championship is on a Friday?
Pavlovs Eagle replied to Pavlovs Eagle's topic in Mean Green Football
Likelihood of us going went to about zero if it's Friday at 6p (or worse, in the afternoon). I imagine I'm not alone in my scheduling challenges. -
I saw in today's "Thank you Season Ticket Holders" email from UNT that the CUSA Championship game is on Friday? Who's awful planning is that? At least the last time we appeared in this game it was on a Saturday.

If Littrell beats Bye, should he get an extension?

How does this affect our NET Ranking? -
And lose to a MAC team... Kudos to G Brint, that's the power of $400 a billable hour tax consulting right there!

There were 15 bowls during the 1978 final season of Hayden Fry at NTSU. There are 43 bowl games today. So it's understandable that it's easier to make it Blue Plate Mayonnaise Bowl in 2022 than it was to be invited to a 1978 season bowl.

Thursday/Friday FBS Games - 11/17 and 11/18
Pavlovs Eagle replied to El Paso Eagle's topic in Mean Green Football
I personally love to go to as many games (home and away) as possible and absorbing the whole GameDay experience. Trying to rush out of the office to get to Denton for a 6:30 Thursday/Friday football game sucks as a local fan. And nevermind trying to coordinate schedules to fly to New Orleans for a Thursday night game against Tulane. I get the ESPN contract is better. I'm not denying that. -
I get the thesis, it's just terrible. SMU love it or hate it, is aspirational and looks good hanging on a piece of paper on the wall. Even if you really believe in the "Dallas" alternate branding, it makes ZERO sense wearing outside of a home game or maybe a game vs UNT in Denton. The sands of time are not kind to established brands who look to enhance their brand by totally abandoning it.

Garrett Riley-OC at TCU will be the next UNT football coach
Pavlovs Eagle replied to UNT78's topic in Mean Green Football
Is he related to anyone in the UNT 17? I would love to have a coach that we don't have to juggle "he's like a son to me" if his performance is 💩. -
Tulane is a Top 25 team. I don't know why they wear the "Dallas" uniforms on a road game in New Orleans. I can't imagine having such a well known brand as SMU and thinking "let's just get rid of it and put the name of the Metro area we play in." The SMU marketing dept should be fired.
