While there's a decent amount of people milling around for Parents Weekend by The Hill, there was little traffic at the Alumni Pavilion, and no cars in the Green or Black lots. Hub Club is pretty dead too 45 min till kickoff. ☹️

As a nosy fan combing X/Twitter I'm trying to understand this Tweet from Ridge Texada's dad. His dad had a huge ring on at the game. Not sure if he coaches somewhere where he won something? He played at La Tech, but I don't think he was on any teams back then that won anything to get the huge ring. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Patterson has been tweeting pics of himself tailgating at TCU games since W1 saying it's the first time he's done it in decades. I have a hard time seeing him walking away from retirement and TCU tailgates. He truly loves the Frogs despite how they treated him at the end. Honestly they may ask for him back with how they looked the last two weeks.

If it wasn't for ESPN basically owning the AAC conference, you wouldn't hear the words "UNT" uttered on ESPN outside of ESPN+ and ESPN 8 The Ocho for the rest of the season.

Are you sure they didn't paint over the horizontal CUSA logos and then paint the AAC "A" over it? I've seen them paint the field before, I assume they have some mechanism to rake the pellets loose after. They should have painted the DATCU logos over the horizontal CUSA logos (similar shape and size) and put the AAC A on the left side (if you're sitting on the home shade side.

Seth didn't coach the bowl game. He was fired very shortly after the CUSA championship game.

I've read this a few times since yesterday's GameDay. I would say from a production sound point this is 100% what was missing in previous years. I get the old timers may not want anything but the occasional 70's classic rock song between downs, but most sporting events are constantly pumping music/sound effects in between plays to try to keep energy up in the stands. Unfortunately the speakers still are awful at DATCU. New video boards seemed to perform though. I was shocked when they were going through famous UNT recording artists and put Hip Hop artists on the display. It's cool that Meatloaf, Don Henley, and Norah Jones went to UNT, but the students we complain about attendance on care more about artists relevant to them than "I would do anything for love..." being played.

Did you watch the UTSA game? There were some potential bad calls that would have turned the tide of that game instantly. UTSA yesterday would have shredded us.

We hosted some great Coaches Caravan events! Two of which I went two. And at both events the coaches wives were talking so loud and to each other in the back that the people on stage with mics had to ask them to keep it down so we the faithful could hear the coaches speak. I had a moment when I saw that happen at two events in a row where I second guessed how serious any of our hires were for any of our sports, but I quickly dismissed it because I see life through green tinted glasses. Oh and all our coaches bought as many pairs of Jordans as they could find in green. I swear if they talk about the Jordans anymore...

Grant is looking very effective against BYU right now. Seeing confidence and leadership from him. Honestly I wouldn't want to play Sam Houston right now. Their undersized defense is working over the P5 sized BYU team.
