How many people still respond to this guy's tweets trying to correct him cracks me up. The bit has been going on for years. I think the guy running the account wrote a book about it. The whole schtick is that he's wrong. But SMU is Clearance Rack Baylor, so he's right about that one.

The email went out on Thursday. Granted, UNT athletics should probably know that I have had two basketball season tickets for six years now. But this is also the same school that offered me an upgrade to the Hub Club for the ECU game as a season ticket holder for Football... who has had Club tickets for almost 10 seasons.

We need to hire a P4 Assistant AD from a P4 program with a history of successful football hires who can come here as AD and bring that methodology to the Mean Green. If they also have NIL experience by this point, all the better. Mosley is nice, but didn't it come from Abilene Christian? Wren spent time at P4 programs before he was brought here. Granted, he may have let Seth go slightly longer than he should have, but there was a gravitas that Mosley doesn't have. But the Neal Brown situation at WVU since Wren left UNT may mean Wren isn't great at figuring out what to do with mediocre coaches in a program with bigger fan aspirations. So, my assessment potentially has as many holes as the North Texas defensive line.

He's already out on X apologizing to everyone. While I hate seeing dropped passes, I refuse to roast this young man. He's been a pleasant surprise in this otherwise mediocre season.

Despite an underwhelming season of home games, I am the proud owner of all four Mean Green 20-oz Yeti cups. My wife is the happiest because now we have to cram four more Yeti cups in the cabinets, and when she points to all the random Yeti/Rtic/Ozark cups we have and says, "We need to get rid of some of these" and I reply, "But they're sorta expensive..." They actually will really have been expensive. I would say I'm $200 poorer, but the bar staff messed up and didn't charge me for the 3rd of the four cups.

If you watched last night's Temple vs. UTSA game, you might not think winning at Temple is a forgone conclusion. I watched it and thought: "This team can beat UNT"

Construction is finished inside. You can jog laps around the whole concourse to help burn off the calories from the poor quality bad chicken tenders. During preseason games they had all the concessions open and even a full bar concession near the NT Blvd side baseline. To be honest they probably popped all the popcorn during the first game a few weeks ago and will slowly serve it to all of us suckers the rest of the season. And the best food they had, the jambalaya, hasn't been seen in probably 4 seasons. But it's only a 2hr game. Stick a QT taquito in your coat pocket and bring it along if you want "gourmet" concession food. Also, I don't live in Denton and I make pretty much every home basketball game, even during the week. When my office was in Plano you could leave at 6pm and be parked by 6:50. I now leave downtown Dallas, pickup the wife in Plano and head to Denton and still make 7p. And I usually just walk out to the parking garage at 5pm to accomplish all that. If you're looking for better excuses just say the Super Pit seats are uncomfortable.

Never going to happen. Smatresk seemed like a sports guy and was interested in us having positive noise around our programs. The new President seems like a nice guy the two times I've met him, but he does not seem like someone who's ready to do the hard things (fire an AD) to change the direction of our football program.
