Yes, 10 game schedule. The Eagles went 8-2 with losses to Memphis State and Arkansas. Leo Taylor became the first Mean Green player to rush for more than 1,000 yards in a season.

No way! I waited 50 years to roast some Razorback! We'll get LaTech at their house again next year and slay the dragon at our house, too! Memories of 1-11 are still too fresh. Oh, just for the record, I would have punted. Why take the chance of putting your men at a disadvantage at that point in the game. Fly Like An Eagle!

In another post, it was suggested that we contact Mr. Ron Arp of the Butkus Foundation as to the possibility of getting E.J. added to the Butkus Award Watch List. Thought I'd share his response (which was very prompt) to my email: "We don't add to our pre-season watch list, but anyone is eligible to become a semi-finalist. It seems every year we have a few who make that leap. Our semi-finalists will be announced in just 13 days, and even then, we have a write-in provision to make sure our process doesn't restrict selectors from picking the best of the best. Ron Arp 360.601.2991"

Just sent a message to Mr. Arp with the Butkus Foundation regarding E.J. Ejiya as our #22 certainly needs to be a mid-season addition to the Watch List.

I think you meant to say "Memphis State" rather than Tulsa. 1967 20-29 L 1968 12-30 L 1969 13-15 L 22-6-1 ('67-'69) and I still hate Memphis State to this day!
