Wouldn't you agree though that if we played that game today we might see a different result? I know I'm drinking the koolaid some here, but I think our team today is better than smu.

I'm hoping for the Independence Bowl, but Boston College? Not sure how hyped they'd be to play there/would their fans travel well for it?

Lets stick to the "NORTH" "TEXAS" chant... Its simple, and easy to keep going. Its also been the tradition. I agree though, it would be nice for it to happen organically like it used to back in the Fouts days. But I am ok with the video board leading it until we can figure out how to start it ourselves. We need that one guy who always starts the wave a baseball game to step up to start the "NORTH" chant on the student side.

I hope we have some coaches on the staff spending half of their time right now game planning for FAU. When we are prepared, we can do well. We for sure will not come out flat. Its the CUSA championship game... if you cant get hyped for that, you dont deserve to win. If the team that beat Iowa for 3 quarters shows up. We have a shot. If not... it could be another long game.

It was a LITTLE bit easier this time. It still doesn't work great. I bought student guest tickets and couldn't add them to my Apple wallet even though it had a "add to Apple wallet" button under each ticket. Id like to know what other universities use this system and how it works for them.

My exact thoughts! I loved the 4:00 start. It for sure helped with ppl staying for the whole game. What keeps us from doing more 4:00 starts in the future?

I am all for that too. But, I do like traveling to SA vs going to LA. I guess thats part of why I root for this rivalry.

Who is someone "higher" that should be our rival? Theyre in conference. They don't like us. We don't like them. Seems like a good start to a rivalry to me. GMG

I wanted to buy a student guest paper ticket, but they told me to do it on that student site. That's how they made me buy a GA ticket instead. Im going Saturday. Not looking forward to dealing with that again, but I'll be there. GMG!

I am currently a student and let me say... the new way to claim your ticket is AWFUL! You get in that site, they tell you your ticket won't be available until game day, then when I try to claim it, it tells me I can't claim it until after kickoff. I went to the ticket last game day to tell them it wasn't working and they still tried to force me to use it. I wanted to use it and buy a student guest ticket. They finally caved and gave me a student ticket but made me buy a GA ticket for my buddy. It was a bad experience. I wasn't the only one having trouble. There were lots of students standing outside the gate trying to get their's to work. I emailed their help line and they were no help at all. They've advertised you can use Apple wallet to access your ticket, but again not until game day, when it probs YL won't work again If you want students to show up to the game. Make it easier to get tickets! I tweeted Wren to no avail. Please help!

Heads in the right place. But just dumping thousands of free tickets out there doesn't seem like the best idea. I will say though. They need to fix that free student ticket app. It doesn't work well. Why can't we just show an ID and get a ticket?

This game is a "Keeping up with the Jones's" opportunity. I willing to bet UTSA will travel well for this one. So it's a great chance to show them what we are made of. I do not think the Greeks are the way to get butts in seats. At least they are already tailgating. The kids we need there are the ones going home to Plano and Arlington for the weekend instead of staying in Denton to go to the game. Some thoughts: Social media blasts talking about the game being a battle for first A "green out" or "black out" game with legit shirts for everyone in attendance. Not for the first 5-10k. We need 20k awesome shirts. "Street teams" on campus promoting the game A pep rally with some big alum in attendance. Id love to hear more ideas. Again, let's not focus on the Greeks. We need to on the fence kid at the game. Also, winning the game will be a nice way to bring them back. 😄

We need to stop fighting this. UTSA is a good team. Most likely better than us. I was at the game in SA last year. Until we beat them... we can't act like this. I know we don't like how well they're doing for how young of a program they are. So let's hope we can get a W in two weeks.

Does anyone have any idea how other programs do these? Itd be nice to not reinvent the wheel. Let's borrow ideas that work and implement those. Yes, winning would help. I believe that is coming. it is hard to compare us though to TCU and SMU. They're private, expensive, schools. While smaller, their donor base may have more potential to give. I would like to know though how they reach out to DFW
