I will be taking off a little early to make it to the game. Its about an hour drive to campus normally for me... I'll punch out 4:15/4:30 GMG!

I cannot make it due to some conflicts. Excited to see what the turnout is. If it goes to game 3, I WILL be taking off work early to head to Denton! GMG!!

I had no idea it was this bad. I worked for a non profit for years and fundraising was a big part of my job. It is disheartening to hear that it is like this. Without a good database to START with, its hard to get traction. I will say, it is all about relationships. It can be done, but you need some names to start with. I do like that WB wants people to know the stats. Its an eye opener. I am interested to see if those numbers improve after a year of good fundraising.

Well said... I had never heard of the CBI before we were in it. If we can get a couple years of postseason tourneys and *cringe*... a new arena, I think we can start seeing better turnout. GMG!

We need the trio of Smatresk , SL, and WB together for a few more years. I think this has been a great formula for the success of athletics at UNT. One would hope if Smatresk did hang it up, the BOR would want to hire a prez that makes athletics a priority.

Wren mentioned the game may not be in the PIT on Twitter. Anyone got any intel??

Do we think this will get most/all of our games broadcasted on a watchable outlet? If so, I think I am for this. I was not excited at first... but more revenue and IF it makes the games easier to watch. I'm in.

Jeeze... my first reaction is yuck. But there has been lots of talk about ESPN not doing so hot, so maybe this will be better for us in the long run.

Has anyone ever heard if there has been any interest in Apogee hosting a bowl game in the past or possibly one day in the future?

I will say this.. I already give to the MGSF as a student. No one asked me. You make it all sound so fun.

So, graduation is coming up at the end of the semester. I wanted your feedback on best ways to stay involved/give to UNT and athletics. I have was kind of hoping as a graduating senior, I would start getting stuff in the mail from the alumni association. Maybe it is too early for that still I see stuff on the MGSF and Diamond Eagles... is there a cost involved with joining the Alumni assc too? I want to give and stay involved after graduation, but wanted to hear from you on the best ways to do. Thanks! GMG!

Anyone have insider info on what is going to be added/are there renderings yet? Just curious. Not sure about the sports bar feel, IMO. The space can be more flexible the way it is. It needs to be multi-use and boxing it in as a sports bar type feel may limit that.

Yes, a lot of the article was very slanted towards how negative all this is. The writer didn't even try to hide it. I would be interested to to see what athletics does for a university on a positive note. Not sure what research could quantify that. Yes, UT and a&m have no student fees, but it is a good point to bring up that it does cost students a pretty penny to attend a game. Also, is it fair to compare UNT to UT Arlington?

Disagree. I drive by it yesterday as well. From a distance, it looks like a nice high school stadium. Apogee looks like college football. TBH, the wing is one of the great tings about our stadium that sets it apart from others in the area. GMG!

When I was a student before way back when... I never paid for a parking pass. I parked at the mall and rode the bus to campus. There are other solutions. Sorry you cant park right next to your class.

Not sure it is that simple to start moving dirt. With everything, there will be delays. Be it due to funding, weather, permits, whatever... Patience my friends... patience. Good things come in time! GMG!

From the other college kids I know... Unless its an email from their prof, they are not checking emails. The students who know and care will vote. So, lets just hope more kids care about having a program to be proud of.
