Totally not trying to talk trash about Vito but it’s hilarious that all you did was walk up to one of the assistant coaches and poof! The answer people having been waiting for.

Watching this team not being able to make free throws on a consistent basis is what frustrates me the most.

DRC breaking news -- UNT picks up grad transfer Cole Hedlund
Salsa_Verde replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
Regardless of his stats, it is obvious that he has the tools and athletic ability to be a great kicker. The ability of this staff to coach and mentor him into something great is what I want to focus on. -
Isn’t Whichita State a member of AAC? In basketball only of course.

Athletic fee referendum to be put to a re-vote
Salsa_Verde replied to Skipper's topic in Mean Green Football
I was under the impression that the vote itself wasn’t a violation but the meeting that took place about the vote was the violation? In any case I don’t like how the vote is being conducted. I’ve also noticed on NT Daily that they took down the opinion column on voting Yes or at least made it harder to find. They kept the one opposing the student fee increase though, it has a link on their webpage. -
UNT campus construction guide for spring 2018

A parking grarage and also a new bus transfer system...which sounds like a fancy bus stop to me. https://ntdaily.com/fouts-field-set-to-be-demolished-in-fall-2018-for-parking-and-bussing/ -
UNT campus construction guide for spring 2018
Salsa_Verde replied to Skipper's topic in Mean Green Football
Interesting. I got the stats of student population living on campus from a friend that currently works at the school. I went and checked and all I could find was this from the UNT factbook: 2013-2014 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_North_Texas it states that “15.5% of students, or 5,620, live in on-campus residence halls. In addition, 37.3%, or 13,494, live within the city of Denton while 4,021, or 11.1% live outside of the city of Denton but within Denton County and 36.1% or 13,043 students live outside of Denton County.” These numbers are about 5 years old. Yes they have just started building the new residency hall next Kerr. I believe it will house 500 beds and be the the 15th residency hall on campus, it’s currently the only one being built on campus. -GMG -
UNT campus construction guide for spring 2018
Salsa_Verde replied to Skipper's topic in Mean Green Football
There is currently only room for 6,000 students to live on campus. If we want to see more student involvement at home games North Texas needs to expand the student population that stays on campus. The construction is a pain but it’s great for the university in the long run. -
I’m a fan of moving to the MWC, although I think I’m in the minority. I honestly see it as the only logical move, unless completely new conferences are made in the aftermath of the next round of realignments. UCF and USF are agitating to get into the Big 12....other schools are maneuvering as well or are contemplating moving up to FBS. This is a critical time for North Texas athletics as a whole. All programs need to perform well in order for North Texas to have any leverage in future realignment.

Houston is scheduled to come to Apogee on Sept. 28th 2019 and North Texas plays in Houston the following season. -GMG http://www.fbschedules.com/ncaa/conf-usa/north-texas-mean-green.php -
The highlight of the article was JMU’s head Coach stating that they wouldn’t be moving up to the FBS level unless given a perfect opportunity. He then goes on to say that the FCS Playoffs are better than any mid-major bowl anyway. An interesting statement. Does C-USA have a future and should North Texas be a part of it? http://pilotonline.com/sports/college/elsewhere/article_b0a126b4-e374-5b05-8f2b-1900ecc0d63e.html

Riddle Me This: North Dakota State
Salsa_Verde replied to FirefightnRick's topic in Mean Green Football
7th straight national championship, only 3 losing seasons since 1964? I guess winning cures all and recruits want to have an opportunity to win above all else despite perceived shortcomings. Those shortcomings being a small market or small school, and playing in a less than prestigious conference. It’s encouraging to see because it just reinforces what many believe can happen at North Texas if it’s athletic programs start winning and winning consistently. -
Click on the above link. It’s Rich Rodriguez statement.

Very excited to see what McCasland can do with Tikhonenko. Great win, very excited going forward.
