  1. I like that he can stretch the floor. I believe that in today’s game a player like him is much more valuable than a traditional center that can only score in the paint. I think he fits the system McCasland is implementing.
  2. Marshall played them really close in the rat’s mouth last season (Boca Raton). Marshall gets FAU at home and honestly I think that Marshall will win that game. Singletary is the key to FAU’s season.
  3. Colt Brennan was the guy I think. I remember Hawaii had a string of quarterbacks that did really well in the system, Timmy Chang was the other I believe. Going back to Mason Fine, if he can pull of a signature performance against a P5 school....it will go a long way, he’s going to have the stats but it’s the level of competition that will put him at a disadvantage to be talked about in those terms. If anyone could pull that off, it’s Mason Fine.
  4. WKU had that headache with Robinson and now they have another 5-Star...hire his dad to make sure he doesn’t bolt. This thing is pure folks...nothing to see here 😅
  5. Went to the same high school as Cole Hedlund apparently.
  6. You can’t overstate the importance of finding the next great QB for North Texas. Exciting times!
  7. Who is more desperate...Kansas? Or someone who accepts the job at Kansas?
  8. Athlon Sports take on Mason Fine, they’re far more impressed. https://athlonsports.com/college-football/college-football-starting-quarterback-rankings-2018 16. Mason Fine, North Texas The Mean Green showed marked improvement in coach Seth Littrell's second season and are likely to begin 2018 as the favorite to win Conference USA's West Division once again. Led by Fine, a high-powered offense was a big reason why North Texas claimed the division title last year. Fine started all 14 games for the Mean Green, throwing for 4,052 yards and 31 touchdowns. The Oklahoma native's 4,052 yards and 31 passing scores set new single-season records for the program. The huge statistical year also allowed Fine to earn first-team All-Conference USA honors.
  9. Getting knocked out cold probably had something to do with it.
  10. But can he shoot the 3-ball? 🤨
  11. Too* not knowing how to properly spell too is Old Denton.
  12. I’m a fan of the website. Good write up, I feel like the SMU game is going to be a huge measuring stick for the rest of the season. -GMG! https://swcroundup.com/news/2018/6/28/season-preview-north-texas
  13. Doug Flutie did well up there. Same for Jeff Garcia. I don’t know what Mason Fine’s plans are after graduating though.
  14. For all the soul selling and disgraceful things that Baylor did....all it got them was an RG3, McLane Stadium and a couple of years of compelling football. The NCAA as a rugulatory organization is an absolute joke. They are brazenly soft on P5 schools and use G5 schools as props when they need to make an example of a program.
  15. Damn....I was hoping no one would transfer. I wouldn’t be surprised if her sister leaves too.
  16. I also noticed two new QBs on the roster. I’ve never heard of them until today? Cobe Craft and Kane Hardin? http://www.meangreensports.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/cobe_craft_1069534.html http://www.meangreensports.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/kane_hardin_1065959.html
  17. Pretty cool article about Chris Blakeley serving as a graduate assistant. http://www.meangreensports.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/062218aaa.html

  18. When he leaves FAU will implode and that is not good for the conference. It’s a double edge sword, the publicity is great but he’s not building a solid base he’s all about winning now and probably not in a legit way.
  19. North Texas is currently ranked 67th nationally in recruiting. Needless to say that a big improvement from last year.
  20. I remember this story from last year. It came out right around the same time. In any case there is a link to where you can vote for best stadium. Apogee is in 3rd with 11% -GMG
  21. Here’s a link to the video of the turf being installed from start to finish. -GMG!
  22. “Again, back to my friend at Amazon. “We’re still seven or eight years away,” he said, “but if we had to restructure the landscape today, we would not start by negotiating with a conference. We don’t care about the SEC, Big 12 of Big 10 as a whole. In our opinion, those entities are not our focus.“Instead, we would want to identify 30 or 40 teams that command the biggest audience. That may be by reputation or location, but generally we all know that there are members in every one of these conferences that frankly don’t move the needle.” This is the part of the article that intrigues me. That tech firms could care less about the Vanderbilt’s and SMU’s of the world. They’re looking for programs that can bring volume in the the form of viewers. I think this is how North Texas can be in a better position in the future. I’m sure LSU will be ok.
  23. I think softball is already the leading women’s sport. The WCWS brings in more viewers than baseball. It has way more parity than women’s basketball and the money being spent on facilities Is impressive. Texas A&M just opened a new 40 million dollar stadium I believe.
  24. I thought that too. The SMU fan base simply isn’t there, across all sports. North Texas has a great opportunity to leap ahead. The amount of alumni and hopefully continued winning will put North Texas in a great position. These firms are going to be looking for content and have the money to do so. Thursday night football is going to be streamed on Amazon and Hulu streamed the NBA Finals. It’s a very exciting and interesting time.
  25. A different perspective on college football media rights. The article predicts power moving away from traditional providers and athletic conferences. “When conference TV rights begin to expire in six or seven years, my Amazon source says that Amazon and Netflix could easily be prepared to spend ten times what the networks are projected to have available.” https://247sports.com/college/oklahoma/Article/Conference-Re-alignment-future-football-Ohio-State-Texas-Oklahoma-Notre-Dame-Alabama-Michigan-SEC-Pac-12-Big-10-ACC--118642101
