The issue is we don’t win enough for people to actually care. When you lose it’s confusing when you win it’s unique.

Whelp. Nothing lasts forever, granted I haven’t been a fan that long but I’ve followed North Texas since about 2000. I see the reason for pessimism and I see why people are hopeful. North Texas has to make a change at head coach, make the right hire and it changes everything and that can happen very quickly. The university just has to show they are financially committed in paying for a top coach in the future. They can’t go back to hiring a high school coach or past his prime assistant. I k ow easier said than done.

I rage quit when they ran back the kick off. I just can’t do it.

So that leaves La Tech, UTEP, MTSU, and FIU left in CUSA? I don’t think there are enough teams to add to make this a viable conference anymore.

Well to start off, new facilities won’t effect recruiting? Of course they will, they always do. Recruits like shiny new things. A new modern building will attract better opponents, they don’t want to play in a dump and they want their fans to be accommodated as well. The amount of money it would take to really renovate the Super Pit is going to equal the amount needed for a new facility. Why not make a new facility one that both volleyball and basketball can use. It makes sense. For the record I like the Super Pit…but it needs major renovations that I don’t think are fiscally viable.

Covid my guy…and before that fan interest was gaining steam. Why does attendance always fall on the students? I say this time and time again these venues will not sell out because of students they sell out because alums and the casual fan come to the game.
