  1. Alienate? I guess? I just don’t like using the DD days as a measure of big time success. Why? Because people will point to it as an example of how even when the program winning people don’t seem to care. My argument is this program has not seen big time success since the days of HF and when it does see that level of success, that’s when we will see North Texas at its true potential.
  2. When I see us wearing the vintage uniforms as everyday uniforms because they sold the old feather jerseys…I find that hard to believe. You believe what you want to believe but this program is not flush with cash and it doesn’t take an insider to know that.
  3. Thank you. My point exactly
  4. No one that is going to change your mind so this conversation is pointless.
  5. Oh god you’re one of those people. I seriously think a lot of people on this board look at the DD “winning” years with green tinted glasses. That was not winning big so please I beg you to stop using that as an example.
  6. Enormous increase in resources? Money is not flowing my guy. Donations are still lacking
  7. Dudes got to eat man. What are you going to do 🤷🏽‍♂️😅
  8. Hard to say but my gut instinct is
  9. If you want to win, it all starts with coaching. Get a coach that can win and win big and you’ll have people throwing money at this program because they want to keep winning.
  10. I think the people who have always donated still donate and apparently have started donating more. I’m interested to know what percentage of donations are from first time donors. This should go without saying but the donor base must be expanded
  11. So you’re saying because Wren gets paid more…the administration has more money and could afford to cut SL loose? Thats a shaky correlation, if that is in fact, what you’re trying to imply.
  12. Oh wow. Mr big time over here. Everyone that follows sports knows what incentives go into a contract, that’s not the issue. The issue is he has been getting paid extra for making a bowl game and then getting blown out every damn time. The fans see this as a hollow incentive. Twice SL has gone to a bowl game with a losing record and he barely made this one and again got worked. So you tell me… is that money well spent my man?
  13. From what I’ve heard is we don’t have the money to fire him so he’s here until his contract runs out. And everyone keeps talking about just paying the head coach more, a good program…a winning program also pays their assistants more, I feel like that is always overlooked in these conversations.
  14. Oof. Kind of a head scratcher not going to lie. 23-18 record all time at McNeese State, and it was her first job as a HC which was only for two years? Biggest win out of conference seems to be a 3-2 set win this year against North Texas 😐
  15. If North Texas wants to win then the administration and donors have to be willing to pay more for a head coach. That’s what WB alluded to at the announcement of joining the AAC. On top of a head coach if you expect to win you need to pay your assistants more. Do we have the money to do this? The willingness to donate hasn’t been there in the past but this is what needs to happen.
  16. They don’t have to worry about travel costs and they want exposure in a recruit rich state like Texas. It’s that simple
  17. Oh wow North Texas is playing the U? No we’re playing Miami (Ohio)…oh okay. So ya’ll are in the Frisco Bowl? Uhhhh no not exactly, we are in the Frisco Football Classic….oh okay. Awkward silence ensues.
  18. Hell yeah! Playing the U in the Frisco Bowl. *I will take no questions or rebuttals
  19. I think one of the MAC teams would have not received an invite
  20. Once again. Our fan board reigns supreme
