Having Arizona, Arizona State, Utah and Colorado go to the BIG12 makes sense geographically and culturally. The PAC12 is screwed because no schools in their footprint can match up academically with Stanford and Cal so they either swallow their pride and let in a San Diego State, Fresno State, or Boise State or they have to accept maybe a complete merger with another conference?

I would love to see the Rutgers and the Vanderbilts of the world get taken down a peg.

I wouldn’t take a victory lap just yet. No one knows how this is going to shape things. But I still say we should have gone to the MWC. If Memphis and SMU bolt for the new BIG 12 I’m going to be very disappointed.

It extends to even members of the school. When I was in Army ROTC at North Texas they would give us so much trouble for trying to use anything North Texas related on our shirts or in our building. Merchandise has long been frustrating and disappointing.

Yes. I believe it’s that simple. When USC gets back to where it was you’ll see a huge jump in viewership I believe.

Completely disagree that the portal and NIL are turning people away. What does a casual fan (which drives viewership) care about who is transferring and who is getting an NIL deal? SEC spends money on coaching, the other conferences do not and it’s shows on the field.

Alienate? I guess? I just don’t like using the DD days as a measure of big time success. Why? Because people will point to it as an example of how even when the program winning people don’t seem to care. My argument is this program has not seen big time success since the days of HF and when it does see that level of success, that’s when we will see North Texas at its true potential.

When I see us wearing the vintage uniforms as everyday uniforms because they sold the old feather jerseys…I find that hard to believe. You believe what you want to believe but this program is not flush with cash and it doesn’t take an insider to know that.
