  1. Not sure we're going to be his best offer unfortunately.
  2. So, you also have no idea why he had these issues
  3. Give the dude a shot
  4. Arch would be stupid to go anywhere especially with that kind of NIL money. Kinda disgusting honestly. I figured he wouldn't transfer because his family has money and he wants to start for a premier team. Now that he has both, why on earth would he leave?
  5. Agreed. I think once P5 positions start to dry up we'll have more than a few good options to bring in a week or two from now.
  6. If you actually watched the presser you'd see how much it took Bert to coax that out of him. Of course he's trying to get another QB in here. Depth isn't great at the position for one. He doesn't want Stone to leave AGAIN.
  7. I hope we bring in another QB but if it's Stone, I'm not too worried. That said, Stone threw 4 INTs in 6 quarters of football. That has me concerned. I expect we'll get a good transfer in but if we don't, Stone's better than McNulty or any number of blunders we've had at the position.
  8. 1 for 10 yards but played in 7 games apparently.
  9. I wish he had sat out and I said as much after the injury, but I also hoped it before. At the end of the year most starters are playing hurt in one way or another. It's pointless to speculate, but I think we should normalizing starters trying to make the pro jump sitting out of pointless bowl games.
  10. I was high on Braxton before the season. Would like to see him compete here. I'm not sure the QB formula for midmajors is what it was. Every other position is next man up mentality except QB. Well, in this environment where you lose good passing QBs to the portal, what incentive is there to keep a lot of passing QBs? Run 50/50 QBs that can also hit the wide open guy running down the sideline seem more attractive to me. I've been thinking about the QB position a lot in the world of transfer portal and I think a lot of athletic QBs will be able to make a mark at the midmajor level as athletes and semi-option type QBs. This is completely antithetical to the Morris system. He wants a QB that can make all the throws and wants to throw at least 65/35 vs run, even if it isn't feasible. So it will be interesting how this plays out. Morris has shown he can be creative and work with what he has on offense. I have confidence in Morris until I don't. Top 10 offense this year with a 5-7 record. Let him cook.
  11. I don't doubt that he's injured. We know he was earlier in the season and it kept him out of a couple of games. He probably played lightly injured for the past two years. He just decided playing in a meaningless bowl wasn't worth it. Wish KD Davis did that last year. He didn't owe us shit and tore his ACL.
  12. Sure
  13. Stetson Bennett (and many others) gamed the system by dropping down to FCS then coming back up, neither of which hurt him in terms of eligibility.
  14. As much as his career has gone. Couldn't happen to a worse 7th year "senior". Honestly, hate this douche. https://www.expressnews.com/sports/colleges/utsa/article/report-utsa-s-frank-harris-not-expected-play-18564420.php
  15. It fell off the first page today. I thought maybe it got moved.
  16. Why is the thread unpinned?
  17. You should be upset
  18. Well, Shorter, allegedly, got $40k for one ten yard pass (he did play in 7 games apparently). If Kentucky paid Maclin a paltry amount as a depth piece, short sighted imo. If they gave him a big payday for his last year, I kinda get it. Especially if you don't think you're gonna make it in the NFL, which Maclin might not. I think the saddest reality is they may have given him the paltry amount and he bet on that versus himself and his ability to show himself here.
  19. Not in all cases and "NFL worthy" is a dumb construct.
  20. Getting drafted as a bench rider QB is almost impossible at any level Seems to be the case
  21. Any QB can look good if the line can be consistent, which is why it was maddening they let Aune sit back there and lose us games by throwing the most boneheaded INTs and pick 6s imaginable while usually having time and a clean pocket. That is why he is a decent line coach, but a bad offensive coordinator and the least qualified person to be a QB coach (which was one of his official titles here).
